Officially joined the Bronco6g family this afternoon with ours!

I come from the Ranger5g world with our sketchy 10r80 transmissions…little did I know the wife’s 2021 Highlander XLE would develop the transmission whine of death this week… Toyota has not done an official recall but they were nice enough to issue T-SB-0008-21 which has a corrective action of a $7,000 transmission replacement for those of us out of warranty…

We made a business decision (sorry Dave Ramsey ) and here we are!

Upgraded to the Bronco BadSas with 7MT and haven’t looked back! It was a financially responsible decision considering I get better gas mileage than I did with how the Ranger was built and the Bronco can go places the Ranger never would have dreamed of!

Burger Motorsports “CAI”, I know it’s not a “complete” system (just a lid and filter like Roush), but I don’t think anyone makes anything for MY2025+ yet, and I believe the OEM system isn’t too bad. But I say why not maximize it with a bigger filter and airbox?

I went to some local forest roads the other day to test my advanced food storage and service systems. I think I need to work on them a little more.

Caught a nice San Diego sunset at Torrey Pines Gliderport about 3 miles from home.

A glass of wine and sunset on this topless Bronco Thursday watching a couple pilots peacefully fly around.

I remember when they used to launch full-sized gliders there with tow cables powered by an old car or truck engine. They had to yell at us dumb kids to get out of the way for take-offs and landings.
There were no crowds on the beach below for on "emergency" landing I saw once, then a dismantle and haul back up the cliff.

Glad that you found some peace and quiet there!

Enjoyed a Forestry Road in BlueRidge, GA with 9 others. Went from dust bowl to down pour... Made for a great 4th.

Parked next to a 2 door Jeep today. Realized how small it was compared to the Bronco. I love the rugged look of both, but glad I chose the Bronco.

(Yesterday) Lunch with the family at Cafe 247 in Lucerne Valley, followed by a run up Rattlesnake Canyon to Burns Canyon, then Broom Flats. Dinner in Big Bear than a relatively quick (for L.A.) drive home. Only one other person on the trail... very peaceful. Happy 4th!

Maybe the Ranger 5g guys should have their own sub forum? Traded my '16 Frontier for the '21 Ranger when the trans started acting uo and traded the Ranger for the Bronco Base Sasquatch after the second or third time it banged a gear change.
