Hi! New member here. 2025 Big Bend 4-Door Marsh Gray w/Black Appearance Package.
I changed out all speakers with Kicker CS. I took out the factory sub and put in a 6.75 Kicker 2 ohm Sub. I made the Forscan changes 727-01-02 to “00” to turn off EQ and changed 727-01-01 to “2A” to change to Speaker/Tweeter and Speaker/Tweeter/Sub. Here are my my questions: On 727-01-01, the factory values were at “14, tweeter only”. I have the factory sub so why were the values only set for tweeters only? Shouldn’t it have had the Sub value turned on?

2nd question: As mentioned, I took out the factory sub and put in the Kicker 6.75 2 ohm Sub. Seems like the factory sub sounded better than the better made Kicker. Why would this be?

2025 changed the subwoofer entirely - it’s now on A2B and not analog so anything older on Forscan dealing with the sub is null and void

Thanks for the quick response. So right now I have the values set to Speaker/Tweeter/Sub. Would I benefit changing the value from Speaker/Tweeter/Sub to just Speaker/Tweeter or just to Speaker since the Sub is null and void? Forgot to also mention, I have a Kicker Key 200.4 installed. I just want to maximize everything and make sure the Forscan settings are correct

Back to my 2nd question, is the factory amp/module just not powerful enough to make the Kicker sub I installed sound any better that the factory sub?

For the first - anything with the word “speaker” in it should be fine.

For the second - yeah, I suspect you are right. I don’t know what the new amp is rated, but the old one was 110W which isn’t much for a vehicle with a removable top

Do you have more info on the 2025 changes, or know where I can find out more? I'm curious about these subwoofer changes. Definitely thought the '25 subwoofer sounded way better than previous models but I wasn't aware they if they actually made drastic changes or just some EQ tuning.

All I know from around these forums is they changed the sub amp from analog to A2B digital input - not sure if they made any changes to power, quality, speaker, tuning or the enclosure though

I'm trying to find more info but for now will wait and see what solutions others come out with. Not sure if this makes it easier or harder to upgrade. At least for now I don't think it's terrible, it's just enough to keep me happy - when the roof is on at least.

I have this issue too. Put in the exact kicker speakers without upgrading sub or amp, made those tweaks in forscan on my 2024 bronco and the difference was night and day. On my 2025 big bend I did the exact same thing and the new speakers sound no different than the factory... I don't think EQ did anything either. On my 24 the forscan changes made the whole system much louder and have a lot more bass. Anyone have any ideas on what to do on 25+ here? Speaker upgrades feel obsolete now.

From where did you grab the signal to feed the amp for the sub? Did your truck come with the 7 or 12 speaker system?

Any updates on this? I too am messing with Forscan on a 2025 with base audio and it's obviously NOT the same as pre-2024. Right now all of my speakers are stock but I have some Alpines on the way.
