I stopped riding on the street some years ago because my hooligan streak has gotten wider as I have gotten older. I was the Harley guy riding in racing leathers. The wife and I rode cruisers for years before friends talked me into sportbikes when I turned 41 years of age, hence my number . We used to ride the public mountain roads every weekend like it was a racetrack. When I went to the track for the 1st time and saw how far riders slide out into the gravel before coming to a stop I never rode fast on the street again. I kept the sportbikes for the track and went back to cruisers on the road. I miss those days at the track now though, since I'm too old to take those type of risk.
Not after thatIs his leg normal?![]()
Yep”legal here” and I have been doing it most my life without issue…done properly it is safer than sitting between tons of metal with drivers not paying attention or noticing motorcycles…rather be in control than a sitting duck…
I'm not sure how surprising a driver by riding up next them just as the light turns green then cutting off the driver mid intersection is "safer". But maybe the 2 wheelers in my town are just particularly stupid?”legal here” and I have been doing it most my life without issue…done properly it is safer than sitting between tons of metal with drivers not paying attention or noticing motorcycles…rather be in control than a sitting duck…
I think you are missing the "done properly part" but it's clear you've never riddenI'm not sure how surprising a driver by riding up next them just as the light turns green then cutting off the driver mid intersection is "safer". But maybe the 2 wheelers in my town are just particularly stupid?
Nn, never ridden. Never claimed I did. All I can do is relate the idiocy I have experienced with riders.I think you are missing the "done properly part" but it's clear you've never ridden![]()
No it doesn't. Put the stupidphone down, put your lipstick on before you leave the house and you're more capable of noticing things going on around you when sitting in traffic.Lane filtering allows & encourages riders to do unpredictable things.
In some locales, like California, where they've been doing it for decades it is predictable.Nn, never ridden. Never claimed I did. All I can do is relate the idiocy I have experienced with riders.
One of the most important things for safety on a roadway is to act predictably. Lane filtering allows & encourages riders to do unpredictable things.
The clearest sign of someone who has no point to stand on is the one that attacks someone for merely disagreeing with them. Have a nice life.No it doesn't.
