Literally, night and day! I got for the Bronco 1st to test out the CREE on these before biting the bullet and shelling out the $300 for front and back kit for my F150. They are bright. My wife is notorious for misplacing and losing stuff so anything to "help" her see is a win imho.

CREE manufactures about the best diodes on the market.. They cost more but any lighting manufacturer that actually uses CREE (not just claims they do) is typically using very good parts to support those diodes.... They would not spend that much on a diode if they were not.

Installed raised trac-bar bracket from BMR Suspension and the 4WP adjustable bar that I picked up on sale a while ago.

Did a couple projects this weekend. First, I installed the EZ 4x4 Extreme EZTrunk Security setup. Seems like a solid piece, very excited to roll no top and still have security. One note for anybody installing this, make sure to put the attachments in for the hydraulic arms before install. Instructions didn’t say to do so, I had to pull the whole thing out after installing to get those on.

I also painted my grille with a rattle can, wanted to change up a little bit from the monotone feel of carb gray with the badlands grille. Not perfect, but I’m happy with how it came out. Much better than paying somebody to do it. I left the “frame” of the grille carb gray and did the center area in a flat black, to give it the feel of the old style grille.

Made several trips to the village yard waste site. Something I usually use the truck for but just grabbed the Bronco instead. Unfortunately found out the Curt trailer light kit is not working for the passenger side lights. Took a while to diagnose the curt harness on that side and put it back together still not working.

Set up my Bronco swing gate storage for golf season. Shoes in the large pouch, packable rain gear in the mid size pouch and then sunscreen, balls, tees and other little items in the small pouch.

Took the front doors/roof panels off then cruised around with my son and wife listening to music, singing from the top of our lungs (*Karaoke bar-style) and laughing as we drove through the canyon up to a view point of the coast. Rad day…

Tried several phone holders/chargers - either in the way of the screen or 1st the cup holder - so ordered an ESR magsafe charger -took it apart so it lays flat. Then used double sided gorilla tape - secured it where the phone charger used to be from ford. . Light on the side lets me know it’s charging. Stays secure and ran a 6’ Usbc to Usbc cable with a 90 degree angle. Also used a ram mount for drivers side grab handle if I want to just place it there as I am driving.

Last weekend I took my son down from NJ to KY to wheel the DBBB for several days. I felt that the DBBB alone wouldn't scratch the itch so I added in some trail time at Hollerwood offroad. That place is basically all sxs types of trails with lots of mud and chaos that my bald OEM's were not ready for. Had a fucking blast though and the truck did great. Some random highlights here, I will probably try to do like a mini trip report eventually since I like to to that on my Tacoma adventures too.

Overall it was an awesome trip. 2 meh campsites but one incredible one at the edge of a cliff after a long difficult trail at the top of a mountain. A cave we could drive into. Tons of creek trails. Big rock walls that surround the truck and fun obstacles along the way.

I got this truck as a turn key platform for more comfort on these bigger adventures for my son and I since the one I really beat on isn't anywhere near as comfortable, even if I have to accept I can't push it as hard as I am used to. It definitely has been checking those boxes for me though.
