What's up ya'll! Popo here and crew chief for Team 301. The team is currently down in Baja making final preparations for the Baja 500 race starting tomorrow at 9am PST!
Unfortunately, due to injury, I am sitting out this race. However, I will be running support on the backend. We have a lot of cool tech for this race provided by both Kentfab radios and Armadillo designs!
HUGE thanks to Armadillo designs for setting up the team with a Starstream livestream system. This one is a top tier system used by the pro's. There should be no issues with the livestream this race!
Also, communication has constantly been an issue for us... Kentfab radios stepped up and provided some VoiP fancy tech radios that basically take a handheld radio signal, transmit it over Starlink/wifi or hotspot and then the receiver receives the same way. Unlimited range, clear comms and pretty cool tech. I can now talk in RJ's ear during the race from my home office in Sacramento
Also, we have made some changes to our team mapping system. In one of the links below, you will be able to track the team in reference to the race course live! You will also be able to see the chase crew as well.
Race Bronco=RJ
Chase 1=backup driver Kyler from Bilstein who is joining us for this race! They will be racing from about RM205-RM360 or so. So if you see the Race Garmin turn off and Chase 1 start racing, that is why.
Chase 2=main chase vehicle
Hopefully, ya'll can follow both on the live stream and the Mapshare account! Both links are below and I'll be keeping tabs on them the entire race and be here as well.
