I like the "Ham Can" power steering pump, I did that to my '69.I'm still running 2-sets of them! Mallory Dual Point distributor.![]()
I had to retrofit one of those moving the light switch from the center of the steering wheel when I went to Vega steering box on my Model A…i call it a restomod…Don't get me started...old school is gas/brake/clutch.
Also, have them explain this little gem:

Not now, but I learned on a three-on-the-tree manual in an old ford van (too long ago to remember for sure). Not the coolest ride, but if you could drive one, you are good!Does anyone have three on the tree? Need three pedals for that.
Not old ... aged like fine winThat's how I know you're old ... Ron Popeil ...Ronco
My mom has one of their mandolin slicers still.
You have a 61 corvette!!! I wish!I got one of them, too!
It's always fun to transition from from the strictly mechanical non-power every damn thing '61 Corvette ... into the new '25 Bronco where there's a slick button/knob forI'm not even aware of.
just the look of that V8 says General Motors... small block... front and rear bowls on the carb. I see a compressor so it is in a 4 wheel drive. I don't see power assist on the brakes.... Jet coat on the headers and that dip stick is at a unique angle... I like that keeps it out of the way...I'm still running 2-sets of them! Mallory Dual Point distributor.![]()
Oh, yes, the high beam button on the floor! Had one on my first car, a 56 Ford Victoria 4Dr with 3-on-the-tree, but the previous guy converted that a basic "H" on the floor--leaving the shift rod attached to the steering column. Looked strange.I had to retrofit one of those moving the light switch from the center of the steering wheel when I went to Vega steering box on my Model A…i call it a restomod…
sorry, Ford (distributor on front, valve cover bolts) small block…hydro assist brakes…but keep tryingjust the look of that V8 says General Motors... small block... front and rear bowls on the carb. I have never heard them referred to as fat and skinny pedal and I have only been driving for around 33 years. We've all called it the skinny pedal for at least 30 years.
Maybe you're too old to drive?![]()
mmmm you are right.... I was looking for the GM vacuum assist.... I know better... Why the hell I looked at that distributor and thought GM? You are right GM was always on the back of the block.sorry, Ford (distributor on front, valve cover bolts) small block…hydro assist brakes…but keep trying![]()
I didn't know if the old Thompson pump would feed the hydroboost brakes also so I upgraded.I like the "Ham Can" power steering pump, I did that to my '69.
Here's the bigger picture, Gen 1 with 351 Windsor.mmmm you are right.... I was looking for the GM vacuum assist.... I know better... Why the hell I looked at that distributor and thought GM? You are right GM was always on the back of the block.
Do you get extra points if you know that's not for a Chevrolet? And as a bonus:
