When the CEO makes $30 mill/yr, while the line workers avg $25/hr, this stuff happens.Engineers? The recall states incorrect installation. Seems to me we are at the assembly level where the mistake occurred.

You do like those of us who had a recall for the 2.7's for the valves... you drive it for a year + wondering if it will break down. Eventually they'll come up with a plan of attack, test your engine (probably) and send you on your way with an extended warranty on the engine. It's the Ford way.So how does this work? Mine was made 10/25 so do I just wait for a notification from Ford or do I wait for an issue that may never come?
This was just released today. Like the recall bulletin says, you should get a letter within 60 days.I have a 2026 and I haven’t feel/heard any problems, has anyone already get the recall letter for the engine assembly issue? Trying to find out what the actual problem is and how serious it is.
Yep, and at that point they will go out of productionSomeday they'll get the kinks worked out of this product. Someday....

The assembler installs the part. Not all the 2.3 motors of that type have issues, just 1700 of them.Engineers design the systems and procedures on the assembly line.
LOL!Glad I got a 2.7.
Damn, I was expecting delivery of my truck next week.
Yep. That motor. Faulty valves, yes. Corrected. The dual injection 2.7L Nano is possibly the best motor. in the ford lineup.LOL!
This motor?
The one Ford had people banned from B6G if they created threads about the motors dropping valves?
... until they were forced to have the recall?

More likely a single person poorly trained on the line installing the cam fingers incorrectly. I saw a lot of that when I worked the line many years ago. Or perhaps a supplier let tolerances get out of whack and was missed in QC before getting to the line.Leave it to the engineers to re-engineer a reliable engine and muck it up somehow.
