I agree

Better film it!
I wish the wolf box would let us download different formats off the memory card via a card reader. forgot which but I need to pay

I wish the wolfbox let you download files from the card via a reader in a different format. I need to buy some $8 software to view them. so the only way is wifi download to a phone or PC. SO all my onboard videos don't go very far! but got a buddy coming out with me tomorrow who has never been so I'll likely grab a video of him popping the cherry on his badlands

Older thread but prepping my fatass overloaded rig for some wheeling on the DBBB next week. Got spare OTRE's and one ITRE and the tools to change them. I usually carry spare cv's on my Toyota I wheel but haven't yet on the Bronco. Looks like they are side specific which means you need to carry 2. :curse: But realistically how often do they pop with stock tires ('23 wildtrak) and stock fox suspension?I am pretty damn careful with front locker use coming from the Tacoma. No locker action at full lock or bouncing. (Bumping is of course different when done right)

I feel like how much the belly drags on 35's will likely keep me from getting into too much trouble either way but I like to be prepared. At first when i thought it was one CV I thought I could store it in the little cooler divot in the rear but 2 def can't be stored there so where are people storing these giant chunks of steel?
Bueller? I know ya'll have blown CV's.

Or do I need to prove I am dumb enough to blow them?

at the bottom of this thread you'll see posts with blown CVs, diff issues, et cetera. If you want a warm fuzzy feeling:

  • you've got 4.7 gears, assuming you'll be in 4LO in a CV threatening scenario
  • youve got the M210 diff and associated CVs (and HD steering rack)
  • MAny of us have done what you put your taco through, without issue
  • you've got 35s still
  • AND MOST IMPORTANTLY - your right foot is your best preventative measure

Still no answer on where everyone is storing their spares though? And yes in general I was wondering how often people are popping them on 35's still. I know if you are dumb enough anyone can pop a CV, but was curious if they are even worth carrying or not. I am generally a want to prepare for any scenario kind of person but also don't want to over carry shit I don't actually need.

under the rear seat storage is a great spot for stuff. all my trail gear is on a shelf in my garage. I just toss it all in the cargo area with a couple bungees when I head out. I do not have spare CVs.
