I've been getting bombarded by texts from 2 Ford dealers (from the same group) to come in and get the seat bolt recall performed - they must have a good reimbursement rate with Ford lol. Other work on the repair order is:
  • 26P04 POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE UPDATE
I haven't heard about this one. I'm waiting at an 2:30pm appointment, so it seems the inspection / repair and the update are fairly simple to perform.

The PCM update is over-the-air if you have updates enabled on your Bronco.

I don’t think the PCM update for 26P04 can be done OTA
Oh, my bad. I had seen an OTA come across on my '22 as a PCM update. Thought it was the same thing.

Edit: Yup, I was looking at the PCM 24.06.02 that came across lately.

I have OTA enabled - that's how I got the infotainment overheat update applied. The dealer added the powertrain PCM update to the work order, so it seems it is not available for OTA installation at this time.

Had the recall service completed today. Bolts were inspected and found to be properly installed and were torqued to spec, thus replacement was not necessary. The Powertrain PCM was also updated. In and out of the dealership in less than 1.5 hours.

Had mine checked today, too. No issue. So far, none of the recalls issued for my vehicle have affected it. It's a shame there have been so many, because it tarnishes others' perception of what's been a great vehicle for me.

Mobile dealer service tech came to me today, dissembled the seat sides, torqued bolts to spec, was done in 20 mins. 👍🏻
FMI...which FD mobile service in UT did you use? Acronym is fine.

Cedar City Ford. They’re good, but 200 miles from you. ;-)

Did they let you know by VIN when it was your turn to assess this potential issue/recall status, or did you schedule this check at your leisure in conjunction with a service period?

The dealership actually called me.
