Repairing Marine Grade Vinyl Seats?

Ummmm yea. I bought a second 6th gen haha. Long story for a later post.

What brings me back to this amazing conglomerate of nerds, wheelers and roadies is this… a marine grade vinyl seat repair.

On my “new to me” Bronco, the seat is experiencing this wear and tear on the butt bolstering. It’s spreading and it’s hard to tell in the pic, but it has a “flap” ripping off as well. I see a lot of “repair kits” on Amazon but would like to pitch it to any users experienced with this kind of repair to see what has actually worked for folks?

A good upholstery shop can replace the worn section for $100-150, at least that’s the CA rate. Add $25-50 if the foam needs to be rebuilt.

Worth getting upholstery shop to upgrade all front bolsters, or just install some CN covers from eBay / alibaba

I bought this stuff off Amazon and it's been holding up very well as I'm into year 2 with it and it still looks good. To match the black, I mixed 2 parts white to one part black and the match was near perfect. You would have to experiment for the grey part. You can read about my nightmare here. Lol!!

If this is the lower seat portion you sit on, you can get a replacement cover from Ford Parts Giant for about $65. I had posted a link in another thread somewhere not too long ago .
