Anyone have a link to the 3d print? I'd give it a try.

You need to 3d print a pillar blockers. Once you install those, air actually goes to the foot area and everything works as expected.

What top do you have?
Also when was the last time you changed your filter?

the pillar blockers have some effect, but

'everything works as expected'

might be a bit of hyperbole
Well...it works how I expect? I set it to auto, 2 bars, and 67f. I start with seat heaters and turn them off once hot air is blowing on my feet.

HVAC physical buttons > button that has the seat symbol > infotainment screen pup up with 3 out let button options > select which ones you want, then select on the HVAC dial the air temp you want blowing.

Old school mixed with convoluted infotainment and physical interface

No, I was curious what auto setting you used that gave you bad results

That's very strange. I get hot with it set to 67 with 2 bars lit up.

Did you have auto set to just one bar lit up? That's the slowest/quietest auto mode.

I purchased the 3D printed A-pillar vent covers on Etsy. They made a noticeable improvement in heat to the floor vents and air flow from the regular vents. They have a magnet ring that attaches around the vent and removable cover. Here is the link:

Well a couple developments.

1. I 3d printed some snap-on vent covers for the A-pillar side window defrost vents. This absolutely, 100% improved the amount of heat getting to the floor.

2. Dropped my Bronco off for a bunch of recall work and mentioned the floor heat issue. Shop foreman actually came out to check it out and confirmed that something is up with mine. Regardless of the setting, it would not stop blowing through the windshield vents, which he said isn't right. They're going to look into it more and I'll post an update when they get back to me.

Great solutions in this thread already — glad people are finding fixes. Here's mine.

The AirLock™ was designed specifically for this problem. The warm air bleeding through the A-pillar vents when you're running heat to the floor is a known HVAC quirk on the Bronco. I wanted something clean that is easy to install, that can be opened or closed, without having to keep track of where you place the cover.

The AirLock replaces the factory grille with a spring-loaded cam pivot design that snaps fully open or closed in one motion. No tools, no adhesive, nothing permanent. When it's closed it blocks the bleed completely — when you want airflow back, one push and it's open. Looks factory when installed.

Available in textured black and a carbon fiber infused finish. Made in the USA from engineering-grade material.

Copied Volvo and put 1/2" closed cell foam on floor and seems to help a lot on the brutally cold days when floor convects very effectively.
