33 inch 285/75/16 will fit out-of-the-box. Not only will they look great and offer a lot of sidewall (more than SAS tires) to air down, but a quality A/T will fair much better from rock or sharp branch/stick punctures than what you presently have. 33s and your standard 4x4 with no lockers cover the vast majority of off-roading most people do. You can up the trails you posted quite a bit. The important thing is up difficulty level slowly enough to learn the ropes.

RRG is beautiful, we've been there several times. Wifey & are the same way, we go off-roading for the scenery, not the technical terrain. There are endless miles of incredibly beautiful trails in the Appalachian area that are 5 and below. We also love forest & park service roads that have beautiful views. Our Bronco is overkill for the trails we do, but it's still a fun vehicle to knock around in the woods...🤠

Congrat's on the wedding & honeymoon!

Yes I’ve done a ton of research on here about tires! Function aside, the looks of 33”s on the 4 door is so clean to me.

We have had our base model for 2-1/2 years now, and it has done everything we have asked of it, both on the road and on the trail. When we wanted to upgrade the tires, we also went with 33" tires on 17" wheels, and have not had any clearance issues at all. We also got to attend the BOR, we went to Moab 2 years ago, and had an absolute blast there! Congrats on all of your "life changing events" and good luck and have fun with your Bronco!

Congratulations on the marriage and the Bronco, 33s (255 or 285, or even 265 32s) will set you up right for years to come.

Was able to finally take my stock base Bronco off roading while on my honeymoon in Red River Gorge! The trails were pretty simple but still super cool and had some steep slippery inclines, water crossings, shallow muddy ruts, and some very small obstacles.

The trails were called Lairson Road and Bald Rock Fork Road and aren’t too far away from Natural Bridge in Rogers, KY. On OnX off road the trails are listed as 1 and 3 respectively.

My take aways…
1.) Super impressed with the base Bronco! Like I said before there wasn’t anything too crazy but there were some muddy ruts and some super slippery and steep inclines and I never felt unsafe in the Bronco at all. At one point I had the Bronco tilted sideways at 14 degrees and I felt like I was looking at the ground from my driver side window. There was a Toyota Sequoia that had some BFG KO2s on it that was behind us. At one point they got stuck on a steep inclines and couldn’t make it all the way up due to articulation issues. We made it up without even the tiniest if tire slipping.
2.) Shout out to OnX Off Road. The app made it super simple to find the trails as well as navigate them. Had no issues at all when navigating the trails.
3.) I want some 33” A/T tires very soon! The stock Duelers actually really impressed me though and handled everything without issue. I would also like some steel underbody protection.
4.) After the above are added on, I want to start doing some slightly more difficult trails! I know I have a base so I can’t do anything too crazy but after not having any issues at all today I think some bigger tires and underbody protection would be all I need to do something a little more challenging.

It was nice to finally get my Bronco dirty and I can’t wait to do more!

Nice! The best (and pretty much only) mod I did was add 32" tires to my base steelies. It's amazing how much it improves the look. Ford should've offered those from the factory on the Base, IMO.

I am glad you had a blast! Congrats! We ride forest roads in the mountains. I would like to do more, but my wife is happy with the forest roads and scenery. I also do not want to go on some of the harder trails here in Virginia because I do not want to have to buff out Pin striping. Here is a picture of Lizzy and the tires. 2021 Black Diamond. No lift. Removed crash bars. I am running Toyo Open Country R/T Trail, LT285/75R17 (about 34x11.5). A little more aggressive than a regular all terrain but definitely not as much as a mud terrain. They are awesome in the snow. Toyo makes several different Open Country tires. These are great! The General Grabbers that came on mine were 32in tall. Great tire, but they came by their name honestly... They grabbed rocks and threw them everywhere. I have so many chips in my paint. The wheels I am running are KMC KM541, "Dirty Harry". 17x8.5 with 18mm offset. No rubs. Look fantastic. Drive amazing. 30k miles and the tires still look new. I would also recommend a set of steps. I would rather have bought USA made, and 3 or 4in drop steps, but mine are from Amazon and they were around $250. USA made are over $700. These also help prevent chips. 4in drop steps would allow me to lift mine some and still be easy to get in and out of. Enjoy your Bronco!! take it slow. No rush. I did the Texas Off-Rodeo and it was amazing!!! Don't let that free day go to waste.

Awesome to get your base out on the trails! I see that you have a 25, have you done the Bronco Off Rodeo? You really get a learning experience on what the Bronco is capable of.
Are you from Tennessee? Pic for Attention
