Why are the font doors on the bottom. That drives me nuts. I use the driver winsow the most top switch would be better
Because they're 'FORWARD' in the vehicle, so you know without looking down that the switch most toward the front of the vehicle is the front windows. That's it, that's why they're like that. It matches the same layout as vehicles who have the switch in the door. Forward switches are front windows, rearward switches are back windows.

They mimic the layout of the vehicle. Close your eyes and put your hand on the controls. The tip of your pointer finger is the driver front. Your middle finger tip should be the passenger front. Then you have to move your fingers back to get to the back door controls. It's completely intuitive. Don't overthink it.
Barely beat me to it man.

I can’t count how many times I’ve heard an automotive journalist say that the window controls are in the center console because the doors are removable. This doesn’t make any sense to me as the only scenario where this would be a problem is if you had the driver door off (thereby having no access to the window controls) but you’re wanting to roll up the windows (from the driver’s seat) on one of the three installed doors.
The door locks are on the doors themselves but that doesn’t seem to be a problem.

Sorry, I don’t have an answer for you, I’m just ranting since the switch placement is an anomaly of sorts, and if you spend time in a non-bronco, muscle memory causes you to search the door for window controls.
BMW for decades put the switches in the center. The PT Cruiser has the switches in the center. The Dodge Neon SRT doesn’t even have switches for the rear windows.

I had a Dodge neon rental that had power front windows and crank windows in the rear. Talk about econobox

...the E brake is another story. Don’t understand that one at all.
Yes!! The e-brake on the Bronco is my only complaint. It's in a poor location.
It should be on the console.
On this forum, I hear lots of complaints about Auto-Start/Stop, the location of the window switches, and even tons of recommendations on how to override these factory designs.
-- So, has anyone found an "e-brake relocation" solution?
...you’d pull up on the handle to engage and push down to release.
Yes!! Bring back the physical hand lever!!
(Yeah, I know modern safety rules for collision avoidance require an integrated electric brake, but I DO miss the lever.)
I do realize that there have been many an automatic car where you’d push (with your foot) to engage and push again to disengage.
I've owned several older manual cars and trucks that had a foot-operated-pedal parking brake and the release lever was just below the steering column at the bottom of dash.

Ah yes...more 2-door special snowflakes. Ford should seriously have considered redesigning the interior controls for the 37 2-doors they sold. Huge market share...what were they thinking?
Minivan drivers are so mad over the fact real Broncos have 2 doors

You 2 door clowns can't help but turn every single discussion into an attack, can you?

All so insecure about your stumpy little "rigs" that you lash out when a superior "rig" is mentioned.

Note: this post has nothing to do with Broncos

Where are the rear doors on a 2dr? I looked for them on mine but no luck finding them....
So lets make 2 doors special little unicorns where they need different wiring and motors than the 4 door version that are produced in the same factory on the same line that pumps out 10000 broncos per month.

It's hilarious. They buy the "real" Bronco or the "true" Bronco and complain non stop about it. This is the best, but I need more storage. My bronco rules, but there is no aftermarket support. These switches are weird...they're literally intuitive to the actual layout of the car. This thing is amazing, but rear-seat access is lousy. I'm so happy with my 2 door, but the fuel tank is too small.

Meanwhile, 4 door owners are all smiles because we are happy and content with the superior choice.

The only reason Ford made the 2 door was bc they took advantage of nostalgic boomers with money burning a hole in their pocket. They already got their cash and they will phase them out of production sooner than later.

Aw, dude... don't lump all of us 2-door owners into the "sarcastic haters" of this forum.

I love that Ford designed a vehicle they can co-produce as 2 door and 4 door. They are both great vehicles -- and both are so much better than any Jeep Wrangler.

Same here - I knew going in that the 2dr wouldn't have the fuel tank size, I was a bit surprised at the lack of aftermarket stuff but it is what it is when you buy a niche vehicle. And the rear seat access is lousy...but that was the POINT of us getting it, since it was purchased with our son driving it in mind. Fewer passengers, less room to screw around, still has a real frame under it, technically has a roll cage, and small enough he shouldn't get too many door dings in the school parking lot.

Am I disappointed the 2drs will be going away? Eh, kinda, but the fact that we got one at all was awesome. The hardest pill to swallow will be if/when something happens to this one, we won't be able to find another new one like it.
