In the same boat right now. Vehicle is in right now for hardtop seals, and have been having the chirping for a few weeks now. Took a test drive and what do you know, the sound goes away with the service manager in the truck  They are going to try and drive the vehicle to warm it up as...
Hey y'all, tried looking around to see if there was anything about this but didn't see much that matched. Recently, within the past few days, I've developed a strange noise that I can't even explain/mimic other than saying its a chirping sound (or a space ships engine 😂)
I've ruled out...
I have a 23 Wildtrak 2DR with only about 1300 miles on it. Minus the occasional radio freeze and a hardtop with leaky seals (both common issues that aren't HUGE issues in all honesty) the vehicle has been great. Averaging 18.8mph in a brick, tons of power and a fun drive all make it worth it
Ask about the solenoids being replaced too. Our service departments have replaced the solenoids at the same time as they tend to fail and require the same teardown. It'll save you and the dealer the headaches in the future
Mine is in at my dealer right now for hard top leaks and a defect in the leather seat.
I haven't seen many 2.7s in for phaser rattle BUT its not impossible. Have them do a full diag! There's no TSB or anything thru Oasis yet so its not a widespread issue but I've heard of a few having it
Same change Nissan and VW have made. Get rid of any chrome and 3D effects, and replace with flat, plain, white accents.
Over simplified logos are the new trend and they look terrible
Exactly, considering the fact I can fit my finger through the gaps and you can see the light leak in broad daylight.
Such a long wait and drawn out process that I can diag in 5 minutes
Called my dealer to get it in for warranty work on the hard top seals. "We have an opening Sept 25, but you'll need to leave it with us for a few days after that until we can look at it" ...
What's the point in making an appointment 3 weeks out, just to wait four more days for them to even look...
The one on the driver side isnt as noticable with the noise, its just a small gap. The passenger side one is big enough I could probably fit my finger in there and it sounds like a window cracked
Found the source of all my road noise :( Calling my advisor in the morning to set up a warranty claim on this. Huge gaps on both sides in the seal in the corner of the window, and the passenger side portion of the top doesn't sit flush. I was afraid of this...
Left my Bronco overnight, picked her up this morning (it was rough going nearly 24hrs without my brand new ride but it was well worth it)
Added 5% ceramic tint in the rear, 35% in the front, and 3M PPF (which is almost invisible) on the hood, fenders, and grille surround.
Got a discount and...
I'm at 180 miles after picking her up late Friday night (almost 40 miles on the odo at signing) and most of those were just joyriding every second I could.
Can't wait to break everything in and get it ready to go on some trails here in Southern AZ!!
Have fun on your trip and enjoy it!
