Honestly, that doesn't bother me. Most of the "refreshes" that Ford's done I have not been high on. the SN95 mustang got worse, the S-197 mustang got worse, I can't speak to the 550 because I didn't like them out of the box enough to care how they were refreshed. I'd expect a bronco refresh to be a downgrade to be honest. I hope they surprise me, but I have my doubts. Ford seems kind of risk averse at the moment

I find most refreshes of retro-inspired cars to be bad. It's tough enough to make a modern car that looks retro. It's even tougher to then iterate on that design. I agree that the fifth gen Mustang facelift was odd. The 2014 facelift to the fifth gen Camaro was poor, especially the taillights and that weird faux-chrome strip in the front. The sixth gen Camaro wasn't terrible (taillights were still odd though), but the 2019 facelift was a goddamn travesty!

The 2015 Dodge Challenger facelift seems to be the only exception.

Velocity Blue is not the best version of Blue that they have put out.

I've been carrying a flame for Lightning Blue, though Flame Blue is pretty nice as well.
Velocity was great on my 4 door, but I like the AMB on 2drs better.

Well that is slightly disappointing...my salesman is going to hate me, I've already made 2 changes to my order in as many weeks...now I have to call him today...glad I had a backup color just in case.

AMB = Always Mostly Black was the catch-phrase. Truly is a fantastic color when clean and the sunlight reveals that blue metallic.

Generally speaking, this is a universal truth that is not unique to Ford. Smaller shops, especially in small markets, can be a different story...

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that was the closest thing to a refresh we'll see for a while. I mean, its closest competitor, the Jeep Wrangler, has looked basically identical for the last 20 years!

Heck, YTD '26 Q1 sales have the 4Skinner ahead of the Bronco now. Bronco sales 2026 Q1 are down 4% from Q1 2025, while Jeep is up 17% and Toyota is surging to it's highest sales numbers since 2021.

I meant competitor from a purely class perspective. Regardless of sales numbers, the most similar vehicle to a Bronco is a Wrangler, and they’re frequently shopped alongside each other.

1 hr on respective forums to gauge reputation and OE recall performance will make the decision not to mention noisy I interiors and horrible gas milage Bronco is a leisure vehicle not a mass market daily for penny pinchers where as Toyota is.

1. When Bronco was reintroduced in 2021, it was *the* hot new shiny thing and couldn't help but create competition for, and grab market share from, the Wrangler.

2. Over the next few years, as the Bronco was refined and caught even more people's attention and hype, it continued to steadily gain market share.

3. Now, 5 years later (at least year-over-year Q1 2025 to Q1 2026) it has lost some market share. 21% deficit head-to-head against Wrangler.

A. Has the 4Runner come out with a majorly better product? Is it just new/better/increased competition?

B. Has Jeep sharpened their game (lowered price, better quality, more incentives)? i.e., Addressed those areas where they were losing to Ford?

C. Is Ford slipping (cutting corners, reduced buyer incentives, too many QC issues, inventory backlog/ glut? etc.)?

D. Is this just a blip anomaly that will self-correct over to the next 3 quarters of the calendar year, or is the Bronco truly treading thin ice?

Some experts say it's just market saturation or higher interest rates. If so, why are 4Runner and Wrangler still increasing? Others say folks prefer cheaper vehicles. Hmm, ok, Bronco sales are down 4% but Sport models are up 10%.
