New Bronco Owner Antenna questions

I think I saw a thread on the front antenna but can’t find it now.

Is the OEM antenna replaceable with a shorter/stubbier antenna? Who makes it? And how is it removed - does it screw in? Do you have to take some stuff apart?

Second question - I’m used to the Satellite antenna being on the roof - where is it on the Bronco?

yes, I have a stubby one from amazon. I don't listen to on air radio, so I can't speak for how well it actually works. it just screws in.

Threads right on ... every month or so I twist it off and on just to ensure is doesn't seize up in there and then I go on with the other 23hrs 59min and 58 secs left in my day!

Be sure to unscrew the OEM one and see what sex it is. Either Amazon was wrong on fitment or Ford actually changed the sex at some point. I ordered a male one and it was wrong. (It did fit my F150 so I put it there). So I ended up with this one. The shorter they are the worse reception. This 7" one is a compromise I guess.

Good question on the Sirius XM antenna. I havent looked for it but on top of roll bar "looking through" the composite or soft top makes most sense for location. I have a full length roof rack on my hard top and assume if I put anything large and metal up there, it would reduce or cut off Sirius XM.

I went with a stub antenna because the original one would hit the car lift when I parked it beneath. It picks up a college radio station that is located about 30 miles away without issue. I mainly listen to tunes off my YT list.

I put a dirt cheap Amazon one on as I only use it once in a while and wanted the clearance. Does not work well in the mountains, but I keep the OEM one in the back just in case (although have never used it, 99% of the time I stream my favorite radio station on my phone from hundreds of miles away).

Have the same one. While it doesn’t offer the same reception as the OEM long whip, I find it receives all my local FM stations just fine.
