Inside, center behind the glass. Visibility is perfect, and if it rains the wipers can clear the view

For those that located the camera inside the Bronco looking out thru the tinted glass, is the visibility on the screen ok? What about night time vision? Im trying to decide where I want the rear camera located.

I had mine on the xbrace in the back. It was just “ok”. I had it on my spare in the badlands, but was hoping inside would work. I just didn’t like how washed out it was. Just moved it to a KC lites spare tire light kit. It is perfect again. I’ll just deal with the weather. Here it is.

all these inside spare option looks good but unfortunately not viable to the Heritage folks given the profile of the wheels :(

I am not sure what you mean.... Why is it not an option? The profile of the wheels???? We are talking about mounting the rear camera, correct? I am not sure what "Wheel Profile" has to do with ANY of these mounts people have come up with. I have a Heritage. I do not run with a spare but.... which of these MANY different rear camera mounts has a problem with the "wheel profile"? There has to be something here you are referring to I just do not know what it is....

For example ForeWard's mount (post 110 above) would work just fine with my "heritage" wheels....

There are several that mount the camera so that it is viewing through the "slot" in the wheel. Those look to be infinitely adjustable so you could place the camera looking through the "slot" in the heritage wheel....

I am not trying to convince you to get a rear camera.... I just don't want you thinking there are no mounts that work when they should work just fine.

oh i already got it, sorry for not being clear but i meant the narrow slot of the heritage wheel doesn't look like it would allow the mounts that reside the camera inside the slots of the spares, the options where it sits outside are plenty and i am aware they would be applicable.
The ones where they sit between the spokes of the spare looks like a good option that allow the camera to be outside (clearer view) and be partitially shield from rain. While other outside mounts like the ones u mention and the popular ones on the 3rd brake light often have issue when raindrops oscure the view of the camera.
I'm planning to have mine sit inside on the top of the hard top rear window, but i do like the idea of the ones that sits below the rear bumper!

I did that originally but it was so bouncy/shaky I ended up moving it to the cross bar on my Barricade roof rack.

No shake issues with mine. But I have the spare good and snug against the light assembly.

I'm at work right now, so I can't take a picture, but I removed the rear wiper fluid nozzle and mounted the camera using the existing hole in the glass to run the wire. I can still use the wiper if need I just wouldn't be able to use fluid. I rarely drive mine in the rain and never in the snow because of the salt, so I've never missed it. I can send a picture when I get the Bronco back from the shop (Recalls)
