For all of you that have the Wolfbox Dashcam setup, let's see your mounting location for the rear cam. I have a soft top, so I decided to mount it on top of the 3rd brake light housing. It was constantly getting covered in rain droplets, so I put a black piece of tape as a hood over it to reduce the amount of rainwater accumulating.

I thought about placing mine there as well. Do you have a picture from the cam itself that you can post showing what the view looks like? I thought that the spare may block too much of the view from that location. TY.

This is the view. I have a rear molle, so I see through that, but it does look even better in person.

Mine is on top of my third brake light too. We’ve had rain once since I’ve installed it. I did have a couple times where beads of water fouled the view though the wind must’ve cleared them away after a minute or two. I am thinking about applying some rain x to the lens to see if that helps.

Mine is mounted inside in the rollbar nook as well and the picture is good as far as I am concerned and I don't have to worry about bad weather. I know the OEM backup camera always gets mucky when the weather is bad so I didn't want to have two bad cameras doing that. Picture of mount and view from mirror below.

The tinting on the MIC top windows makes the view pretty dark at night but I wanted the camera in a location out of the weather and easy to take the top off without messing with camera wiring.

under the third brake light gives protection during rain but it does bounce alittle being mounted there. But still a good option. At this time I just applied with the two way tape supplied. The more secure way is for sure the mount in side the tire area and with the camera pointing through the spare tire. Good protection and hid a bit better and no tire showing. Mounting on the third brake light does get a bit of the tire in the view but not bad at all.

Mounted mine in the front with my winch to use as a front camera. Have it angled down to give me visibility where it stops at the hood from the drivers seat. Its firm enough that it does not vibrate when driving but I am able to adjust if needed as needed.

On top of rear view cam... But I might try moving it to the top of the brake light.. How bad does the tire block your view?

Yes, everything in the rear is stock. The mirror only shows a portion of the image that the camera captures. You can scroll it down or up (see pics)on the mirror so you can line the image up pretty well with the rear window. When I play the recording back I see the spare and a large black band on the top. I've got a 2 door. Don't know what the view would be like on a 4 door arranged this way.
