They should lose their franchise for murdering this bronco.
Murdering? Easy there, Francis. It's just a wrap. I guess you are clear where you stand that the livery makes the Stroppe.

I for one like the Flat Colors. Hopefully @fomoco would offer the flat military colors (paint, not wrap).

LOL YOU GUYS. So judgy

I bought one knowing that there was no way I was going to drive around in that. Did not want the paint but I wanted a new, 2 door, 2.7 with the high lux package. I had no other choice. I do understand and don't blame the people who love the look but it is no disrespect to history, it is just me driving what I want. While in the wrap shop, he had two that the dealers wrapped in matte black to help them get sold. Wrapped mine and covered up what I didn't like. Which is my option as I own the truck and can do what I want with it.

I bought my stroppe 45 days ago for $64,900 out the door. No taxes due to my trade. Sticker was $78k+ so $13k off or $3k less than my old 23 wildtrak 2 door sticker. Anyway, my wife and I love the stroppe. Never fails to start a conversation, and I mean anytime we are out with it. I enjoy it as it’s like a wildtrak and badlands in one. We also are 2 door fans and am old enough to remember the old stroppe broncos. For us it’s part nostalgia but also fun factor and hating something unique. Zero regrets here and was happy to find one for such a discount. Hoss 3.0, sway bar, full under armor, v6, 2 door, heated seats and wheel, gunners hatch for the back…has all we wanted. Seems like all dealers are discounting them and I see a few that had one at $65k Seeing a new one wrapped is sort of ridiculous to me. I mean who would buy it seeing that it’s now an extra $8k?

Yesterday, I drove through a local Dealership. To see what the Bronco inventory was looking like. When I was surprised to see this.

So I inquired about it. The salesman I spoke to said, management decided to have their Stroppe wrapped. I kind of get it. With the Stroppe paint scheme not, appealing to most of today's Bronco buyers. Most not knowing anything about early Bronco history, or due they really care. I still can't believe they did this. And they added the $6.6K cost of the "custom wrap". To an already over priced Stroppe trim. Raising the asking price to over $85K.
DES-perate to sell ???? In my mind that means...LOWERING THE PRICE...Modern vehicle buying ??? First choice in vehicle purchase? What color??? Actually in this case, I believe it's a 2 door thing. My lovely '24 2 Door BD, with asking at KBB price, sat on the F-Dealer's lot for over a month, until I happened to notice last Oct. And I've seen others sit for alot longer, even as-new 2025.

What would you think if they wrapped the Stroppe and didn't charge for it just in an attempt to hide the livery and move the inventory?
At that point I wouldn't really care - they do what they have to to move inventory and make as much profit as they can. I get that, I'm not opposed to that, and yes, frankly, I do like the flat color scheme this gives off.

But if you're going to charge a premium on top of the MSRP, you're going to turn a lot of potential customers away. Especially on something that is such a niche vehicle. If they had discounted the MSRP but kept the final price the same, eh, I still think they'll sit on it for a while but that's still not as bad.

The simple reality is, a LOT of people have to finance at least part of a new vehicle purchase, regardless of what your feelings on that is. It would already be a bit difficult to convince some lenders that a Stroppe is worth its MSRP. Adding $5-6k on top of that is going to make more of them balk and close the purse strings.

Like that lifted truck, does it get people in the door? Sure. But sticker shock is just as likely to make them walk.

Big mistake. This adds ZERO value to an already overpriced vehicle. Ford missed the boat, Stroppe should have been a 2-dr Raptor to pay homage to the name. Instead they pulled out the old GM book and added stripes and paint then called it a day.

I honestly hate when dealers do this stuff.

I was once looking around for a Super Duty (and ended up in my first Ram PowerWagon), and found one that had everything I wanted, and nothing I didn't, at least from the factory.

But the idiot dealership had put one of those Black Widow lift/appearance packages on it. Sure, it looked good, but it certainly wasn't worth the extra $20k or so that they stuck on top of the sticker price...for a truck that was already the last year's model. I obviously walked, and went by that dealer about six months later, and saw the same truck, still sitting there, discounted as far as they could, still unsold.

I get that dealers do things like this to bring people in...but they will so rarely sell them that it doesn't make it worth it.
I ran into damn near the exact same thing last summer when I had to replace my F350. The local Ferd dealer had a perfect F350 that I found on their website. When I went to the dealer to look at (and purchase) the truck, they had a stupid black wrap over the cab (on a white truck) and marked it up $5k.

They were completely unwilling to work with me on the wrap and the markup. I went over to the RAM dealer and bought a RAM 3500, which turned out to be one of the best dealer experiences I've ever had.

Until Ferd gets the children running their dealerships in order, I'm done with the brand.

Dealer loyalty goes hand in hand with customer loyalty. My local Ford dealer experience is a total non experience.

Unlike my Jeep experience I haven't heard a peep out of the dealer or salesman since they handed me the keys almost a year ago.

At this price point, dealers have to attribute the still lagging sales of the MY'25 Stroppe to the polarizing livery. Itemizing the feature set and a buyer would be in the same price range to build a similar Bronco without the paint/wrap - hypothetically, of course, seeing as there was no option to build a 2-dr 2.7L Lux Badlands with HOSS 3.0.

Buyers today just don't understand the tribute livery. Those that do and wanted one have already bought theirs.
I’m banking on the 4dr being less than a success as far as sales. My thoughts are if you understand the Stroppe history you would want the 2dr. A 2 dr is completely out of the question for us as this car will be for the wife (she loves it) and it sure is a lot cooler than one more BMW or Rover in the school pickup line. I just don’t see them selling a lot of these with their in your face paint schemes to people who want a 4 door.

Right now the so cal dealers are telling me they are giving me a great deal for MSRP with no ADM! It will be interesting to see what the market is during the end of the year. They will probably be blowing them out like the remaining 25s.

If not Grainger here I come.

Dealers aint stupid, no matter what folks think:wink: This vehicle will sell. Somebody will drool and get seriously aroused and write the check. This will be a line item on a spreadsheet.

I'm not interested in anybody's loyalty. I just want to buy a vehicle and leave. It shouldn't be an 'experience' at all.

I haven't heard a peep from the dealer since buying my Bronco or RAM either, which is perfect.

I don't go to Safeway and wonder what kind of 'experience' I'm going to have.

I didn’t find the Stroppe appealing when the photos came out. My son is an auto journalist who gets to motor around in manufacturers loaned vehicles. He brought the Stroppe to my home and I have to admit I liked it in person.

Right there with you on Ford dealer "experiences".

Wanted to order a '22 GT500, was fine with paying sticker in this instance, which I've never done. I couldn't find a list allocation anywhere, but got on a few (long) lists. Otherwise it was an additional $5K-$15K+ for the "experience". No sale.

Went to order a Bronco soon after, and it was during the thick of parts shortages, etc. The dealers I spoke to wanted an ADM for the "experience" here too, plus had no idea when I'd see it. No way in hell. Ordered my '23 JL and got it for $5K under sticker AND in 43 days.

It was a bitter pill to swallow when I bought the wife's new Escape last spring. It was almost another VW instead.

Dealers are already clearing these out at almost $15k under sticker. A few within 2 hours of me, one for $63k. No need to wait for a deal.
