We love Broncos but… what’s the most annoying “small issue” with your Bronco?

😂 sounds like that one really missed the mark for you.

Is it more the way it opens, or just the overall usability that bugs you?
The whole experience with the rear hatch is a joke in my opinion. It’s so weird Ford thought that was some cool idea.

You can’t get at anything without lifting the hatch. It crushes the rear windows. Removing the rear panel…you hope you don’t break a clip. Even at full tilt it restricts cargo loading. I don’t know, I’m sure I’m in a great minority here but getting in the rear in my wrangler and even in my FJ40 was so simple to do.

I think for some odd reason engineers at ford think complex is impressive and a mark of great engineering. It’s completely the opposite in reality.

I do love the rest of the soft top and I’m actually swapping my hard top for the softie today. Nothings perfect but some things cause a person to scratch their heads. lol.

Not talking major problems – just the stuff that slowly gets under your skin over time.

Could be:
  • windshield chips
  • Interior rattles
  • Road noise
  • Something random you didn’t expect
Curious what’s been the most annoying “little thing” for you so far.
I HATE the shocks on the HOSS 2.0. Rides like garbage on washboard

That my signature lights from a ‘23 bronco won’t work on my new ‘26 bronco

For some reason the drivers side window will only open under certain conditions. When I pull up to a mail box I have to select Park and open the door to get it to lower. I suppose it could be a faulty switch, but.................

I've got five recalls lined and I need to take it in. That bugs me. As mentioned the cheap interior plastic that scratches easily. For a $60K truck...that's pretty poor. Replacement parts have gotten more expensive in the last four years I've had the truck. The prices don't reflect the absence of quality.

A few gripes:

Park Brake - i have “accepted and moved on with my life” but still believe that Ford royally screwed up by (a) putting the park brake on toggle switch and (b) hiding that switch in a difficult to reach location.

And that pales in comparison to the terrible design decision to not give the driver, (often an off road driver), full manual control in all situations - power on, power off, going forward and back. I say as a 7MT driver give me a brake lever.

Fat key fob - I no longer carry the fob in my pocket after setting off the alarm a million times.

My solution is hanging the fob on a Nite-ize #3 locking ‘biner attached to a belt loop. Makes me look like a goober though. Might have to get a wallet chain to complete the ensemble.

The red button on the key fob! Needs to be be recessed. Tired of setting the horn off !
The infernal red button has killed its own purpose. I can't remember the last time I heard a car alarm go off and thought, "Someone's getting mugged, I better go check and get help!" I think, "Someone has accidentally hit the red button, was it me?"

All Fords. Randomly switches to outside air at highways speeds. Not so nice of a random temp change. Don’t know if other brands do it. I only subject myself to Fords quirks.

Lots of little things but the most annoying by far is not having a proper handbrake for a manual transmission. Going back and forth between my Bronco and my BMW still messes me up after 4 years (and 40 years of muscle memory reaching for a parking brake for all 3 manual transmission vehicles I have owned over 40 years of driving)

I did enough research that I was well aware of common issues. My main gripe that bothers me on a daily basis is the location of the electronic parking brake switch. They could have placed a button anywhere on the dash or console like nearly every other vehicle today but they decided to put it in a spot that's out of sight and requires you to reach down near your knee. Clearly the people responsible for this are drivers that strictly drive automatics and are oblivious to the fact that parking pawl is not an adequate means of holding the vehicle on inclines/declines.
I’ve thought that the placement makes it completely useless in an emergency situation where the driver is incapacitated and the passenger would need to use it. It seems there would be a standard across manufacturers through government regulation that the parking brake especially now that they can be electronic, should be in reach of the front seat passenger.

on the 2.3l the brakes are a little spongy. Everything else I live with to have a vehicle that I can drive 1000 mile to Moab do Hells revenge, Fins, Top of the World, and drive 1000 miles back home without being beat down.
They fixed that on 2025+
