I'm looking for some input from the hivemind.

I have a '23 Badlands non-Sasquatch.

I'm considering the Wildtrak suspension kit: https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-18000-B2A

I'm looking to smooth out some of the highway miles and increase the composure on fire and forest service roads. I'm not a rock crawler and not overloading it with 'overlanding' crap.

I like the idea of the rear sway bar, especially in Montana during the winter months.

I don't plan on putting much bigger tires on. At most I'd replace the current 285/70r17's with 285/75r17's on the stock wheels. I only have 19,000 miles on the current BFG AT's, so I'm still a ways off from needing new ones.

What's your take on this suspension for my use?

Looks like it turns a non Sas Badlands into a Sas Badlands other than the tire size.

I test drove several Sasquatch Broncos, both 2 and 4 doors, and ended up with a 4 door Wildtrak in part because the suspension was much better on the road. The regular Bilsteins seemed to patter a lot more over rough pavement but the Fox shocks seem to smooth out the rougher, sharper bumps. I am a big believer in high quality dampers on cars and I think you would like the Foxes for your needs.

In my opinion it isn’t the suspension of the WildTrak or any other Sasquatch equipped Bronco that gives a better ride on pavement. The larger tires provide the smoother ride. I test drove both before I placed my order during the reservation/ order fiasco and even though I went with the non Sasquatch on my Bad Lands the ride on the asphalt was a tad better with the bigger rubber. I just couldn’t justify going with the Sasquatch package since my usage is confined to surf fishing trips on the beaches of the east coast. Enjoy your Bronco.

I swapped a set of takeoff Hoss 2 non BL coilovers on to my Hitachi equipped OBX on 275/70/18 and it was transformative on highway and everywhere else. Don't even need ro add rear sway bar that was planned.

Besides the Hitachis the tires make a huge difference - I walked away from buying Bronco after test driveing multiple trims on 17s that were horribly unstable on highway.

Having swapped from Hoss 2.0 to Hoss 3.0, with nothing else changed... Same vehicle, same weight, same tires... The suspension 100% makes a difference.

Looking at your sig, Wildtrak didn't have Fox shocks yet. They had the same shocks as all other Sas Broncos.

same, Hoss 3.0 is tons better in ride comfort, especially on road

So, did you take the plunge?

I'm considering myself but appreciate input from those that added Hoss 3.0 to a non SAS Badlands so bumping this thread up.

Tires are everything. I just put Firestone Destination X/T 275/75-18 E rated and the ride smoothed out a lot compared to Blizzak DMV2.

If I found a set of Hoss3 dampers or Fox 2.5 aftermarket at amazing price I would try them on current non SAS Hoss2 springs, since don want anymore lift.

Already tempted by the front Fox in classifieds haha.
