Off Roadeo With or Without My Wife

Yeah, I get someone being stupid, they should be liable. But if some spotter puts me on a bad line, and something happens, or a mechanical failure, that is BS to hold me liable. I'm just enough of a dick to be skeptical, and call it out.

So now we just have to decide to make the epic drive to Moab, or take the easy trip to TN....

If you are following the instructor's directions and you damage the vehicle that's not on you.

If you are ignoring the instructor's directions and damage the vehicle that's on you.

You aren't held responsible for mechanical problems unless you do something silly.

Moab is absolutely breathtaking.

I haven't been near that part of Tennessee, so can't provide any help, but I've heard that it's beautiful.

The Appalachians and the Smokies have a beauty all their own, we did our honeymoon there all those years ago.

Moab however is not just on another level, it might as well be on another planet entirely.

I would sacrifice quite a bit of time, effort and money for Moab if I had to make this choice...

I didn’t have an instructor in my vehicle, but yes, I think everyone tipped her at days end.

I definitely plan to attend an Off Roadeo. I live in Florida but am thinking about trying to head to Moab. Though I am happily married, my wife has ZERO interest in attending an Off Roadeo. I'm probably going to do it alone.

To those who have attended at least one Off Roadeo, would I stick out as one of the few solo attendees, or are these events mostly attended by primary Bronco owners instead of couples? Do you have a preffered location that's not too crowded?

From Florida I hope you're flying in to Vegas or Salt Lake and renting a car to drive to Moab. If she hasn't seen that part of the county it would be a shame to miss it. Lots of other stuff to do. A day or so in Vegas, Arches National Park and Castle Valley in Moab. You could do a one day river trip on the Colorado. The Roadeo is a pretty good day but not the main attraction. Nothing even marginally unsafe there.
