Couple of days ago Spotify started giving me problems on the FordSync. First it said media is not available now it just doesn't show on the list of apps on my Android Auto. Anyone else experiencing this?
I've tried everything suggested on the troubleshooting, including uninstall and reinstall. Any suggestions?

Is it time to dump Spotify? How do you stream your music? are you happy with it? any recs?

Youtube music. Is flawless. Only issue i have is when Bluetooth will not connect, but that's a Ford issue.

Your phone may have put Spotify in deep sleep. My phone put my Gaia Maps in deep sleep and it would not show up in Android Auto.

My Spotify works just fine.

Can you still go to the "apps" screen in your Android Auto? Is it off the list there too?

I prefer YouTube Music to Spotify, because my subscription also includes no ads on videos and a bunch of other features.
You can use YouTube Revanced to get a lot of those features for free, but it doesn't seem to play nice with Android Auto.

I'm no help...old AM/FM radio guy here.

However...I'm a IT guy and have fixed a few Android Auto quirks here & there. Like above posts recommend, dig into the app on phone and see if there's something toggled on/off. Good luck!

I've tried everything thats been suggested so far, that's why Im here asking you guys. It always worked flawlessly prior to a couple of days ago.

I guess I'm fishing to see if its at all related to a bug or something in Ford Sync.

Well, I don't have any specific Android fix, but you can always still play Spotify (or anything, really) via Sync Bluetooth connection -even if you can't via Android Auto.

The connection to Ford Sync is made thru Android Auto or Carplay ... how else can you connect to Ford Sync??!!

If you disable Remote Screen Projection it will show up as a generic Bluetooth audio source/phone and use the Sync interface

There is another way to do it temporarily via Phone Settings in Sync but dont recall it off hand
