Does anyone have any personal experience with both the 2025 and 2026 OBX who wouldn't mind giving me their honeat opinion on whether there are any aspects of the 2026 that are significantly better than the 2025?

For context, I have a 2025 green sasquatch obx hardtop, just about as fully loaded as it can get, with the 2.7 that I love. There are 2 things that I wish could be improved. The noise level on the highway and the weight of the roof panels.

About 4 times a year I drive 8+ hours on interstates to visit family and the noise does get tiresome with long drives. Otherwise it really doesn't bother me too much. The middle roof panel is just a bit too heavy for me to handle on my own, so it would be nice if the roof panels were just a bit lighter.

I know about the new grab handles in the 2026. Most of the other changes I've seen appear cosmetic. However I'm really liking the 60th anniversary package in ruby red with the white top. So, realizing I would take a hit in the trade in, I'm looking for some other pluses to the 2026 to help me justify my WANT of the 60th anniversary package, other than the grab handle. There were rumors that there were changes in the hard top and sound proofing to make the panels lighter and the interior quieter. Can anyone confirm those rumors? Or has anyone seen any other updates in the 2026 that might be significant enough to justify this. My local dealers haven't gotten any new OBXs in yet for me to take a look myself.

Help me justify spending more money!

Also, is it really true there is no longer a garage door opener on the visor??

Minor changes all things said.
  • A-pillar grab handle
  • New colors, including the ability to mix/match the hard top color
  • Connectivity packages where you can effectively "pre-purchase" access to the connectivity features rather than paying for it as a subscription.
  • Removal of garage door opener on the Lux package

I‘ve driven multiple 4 door Badlands Broncos. Based on my experience and reading multiple comments from others who have had similar experiences, there seems to be a noticeable variance in noise levels for individual Broncos that’s unpredictable. I’ve driven painted top Broncos that sounded like the rear window was down because of the air noise, whereas an unlined MIC top didn’t sound bad at all. So if you moved to a different Bronco, there’s no guarantee it would deliver a quieter ride.

I think the best thing to do is stay open to the possibility of trading yours in and test drive one when you can. If that particular Bronco then gives you a noticeable improvement in sound on the highway, then make the trade. Just make sure the dealer lets you drive it on the interstate rather than slowly meandering along at 35 MPH -45 MPH on neighborhood roads like some dealers do.

Removal of garage door opener confirmed. It’s replaced with a sunglasses holder (which might be better for some people!)

2026 also removed the spotlights on the side mirrors and the body-color grab handles.

I don’t have experience with the 2025s, but just purchased my 2026 anniversary edition a couple weeks ago. I love it. I can confirm (as others have) no garage door opener. Any questions you have on the vehicle itself, happy to look at and answer or provide pics. I bought the same one you are looking at, Ruby Red with the Wimbledon White top. Got the 2.7. Traded a great F150 King Ranch for it that I loved, but couldn’t be happier. This is much more fun. Oh, and the 60th does have body color door handles (see pic).

If you have the stock SAS tires- change them to something quieter, that will make a world of difference.

Stitched IP topper is new on the OBX in 26 as it used to be only Badlands in 25 right?

I also am LOVING my 60th Anniversary package. The wheels are so good looking and I love that it has a unique Grill that no other broncos are running.

My 2024 Badlands has the stitched dash with yellow/gold thread, MGV seats with yellow/gold stitching, and other yellow/gold accents.

The 60th Anniversary edition looks great.

I too was looking into the 60th Anniversary Edition but:
No garage door opener and no spotlights on the side mirrors = no go

Bring it to Christmas in July. I'm sure other enthusiasts would enjoy seeing it in person. Congrats.

I love my 2026 Ruby Red Anniversary Edition

No Garage Door Opener

yes to A Pillar Grab Handle (wife loves them)

The 2026 has Soundscreen Glass for the windshield - don’t know if that’s on 2025. Have read about all the noise complaints. Mine is relatively quiet and sound is not an issue at all.

The Sound Deading Headliner seems nicer / thicker than the 2025 Badlands I drove.

All I can say is - Couldn’t be happier!

Replaced My 2022 Badlands (totaled, long story) with the Wimbledon White. I liked the look so this is more after thought than anything. Ruby red is available on other Broncos, Wimbledon White is for the 60th anniversary only. It’s so cool that I expect Ford to offer it on other versions eventually.

My household went 50-50 ruby red versus white. Ultimately I like the monochrome look. They’re both more gorgeous in person than photos show. Mine absolutely pops. Much more refined interior than my previous and going from soft to hard painted top helps a ton with noise. I listened to a podcast on the highway at 8 volume, was using 15 on my 2022. Granted new tires is a big help.

In 2022 I wanted all rugged all the time and while I off-road enough for that to matter, I wanted more comfort. Quieter, more refined, still all the capability I need and then some. Sign me up.

I paid roughly $3,500 premium on a $70k vehicle. Bet I get that back at resale but even if not, it’s really fun driving something special. I get asked about it almost daily by randos and friends alike.
