Search bronco on the website and they're the first thing that pops upStumbled on this and can't find them on his site.
How are they after more seat time?I still think this is extremely impressive technology, but I agree with Ian that I would not buy these with the stock tune from Bilstein. He is now offering them on his website pre-tuned with a linear piston. I'm eager to see if Icon and others that are coming out with similar zone control coilovers have a better tuning theory and steal market share from the 8112s.
I reached out to Wheeling on price as well.Bumping because I want to know the answer as well. Was pretty set on these from other reviews I've seen. Being able to get a tuned version for basically the same cost would be cool if it's actually better and not just confirmation bias.
He's got the 8112s on his site pre-tuned for $6308 currently. That's basically $300 or so over what most dealers are selling the stock ones for with a ton of extra work in them.I reached out to Wheeling on price as well.

That would be some work on the part of the customer. They would have to run standard 8112's first (and not just briefly - real time spent in all relevant conditions). Then they would have to run these tuned 8112's in the same conditions (very difficult to do - has to be done with a certain rigour).Bumping because I want to know the answer as well. They are awesome. Small bump compliance is softer than stock, but still get the great zone control so very controlled over bumps and dips. You get a little body roll tbut it still has sway bars so still very composed through turns. I take things faster than ever now with this tuning. How are they after more seat time?
I ran stock 8112s with no tuning for 10 months before tuning. Now whether mine had a manufacturing defect (low on oil) is unknown, but bilstein has pretty good quality control generally so it might just be different tuning philosophy. But the difference since switching to the linear piston and wheeleveryweekends tuning has been night and day from before. And my wife is the ultimate testing equipment. On top of that, they would have to be unusually rigorous about their own 'subjectivity' and aware of what they really expected.
Really only a blind back to back install where the customer did not know which shock was which and ran the same roads/off-road course would probably ever get anything approximating an relatively non-biased, "objective" evaluation.
I have linear pistons in my 8112s. I'm curious for comparison, what are your settings? Also, I have never care for digressive shocks for off road, even high speed.I ran stock 8112s with no tuning for 10 months before tuning. Wheel every weekend tuned with them 4 clicks in so thats what i leave them at. His tuning matters more than the click settings.I have linear pistons in my 8112s. I'm curious for comparison, what are your settings? Also, I have never care for digressive shocks for off road, even high speed.
