I see a lot of posts about it but nothing for badlands with Sasquatch package. Will true 35s fit without messing up articulation?

I doubt 1/2 inch will make much of a difference. (That’s what she said!)

I have a Sas and put Maxxis Razr 35/12.50R17, which in practice are more like 34.8"x13.2". They are definitely bigger than stock GYs. I have had no issues on road or off. Not sure about non-Sas BL, though.

@Scedwin posted a great resource, but in case wanted to know tire sizes…

xxx/yyRzz
  • xxx = tread width in millimeters
  • yy = sidewall ratio
  • zz = wheel mount diameter in inches
So if you take a 285/65R18 tire…
  • 285mm wide. Approx 11.22” wide
  • 185.25mm sidewall (285 x 0.65). Approx 7.29” sidewall
  • 18-inch wheel mount diameter
Using the last two pieces of information you can figure out the diameter of the tire.

(sidewall x 2) + (wheel mount diameter) = tire diameter

…or…

7.29*2 + 18 = 32.58 inches in diameter

No issues what so ever. I switched to 35 Nittos at around 2000 miles. Ran them 35,000 with no issues. Just switched to Kenda's, and again no isdues.

I tried both 315/70R17 (General Grabber AT3) and 35x12.5R17 (General Grabber X3) on my non-SAS Badlands, mounted on Sasquatch wheels and running Sasquatch fender flares and removing the crash bars.

The AT3s rub on the top of the wheel well when fully stuffing the front, I managed to tear one of the fender flares off while fully stuffed and turning. After the first off-road trip one could actually see cut lines from the fender flares on the middle of the tire tread on both front tires.

The X3s I've managed to rub on the top of the wheel well on just street driving when hitting dips at speed.

Do you want tire or articulation?

The stock 35s already interfere with articulation. Ford factory had to limit uptravel to keep them from rubbing.

If you want max articulation, the standard Badlands on 33s with the front sway bar disconnect is what you need.

My badsquach has 35x12.5r17 Hercules tis mt tires . They clear everything, the only suspension modification I have done is a RC 1" lift to offset the winch.
