this cant be right, but my dealer is hell bent on this price. I showed them the link from ford that it cost $5495 here and theyre saying that hardtop is an accessory, ford wont assist with that. now if i go their route for the 20k one, ford will step in and help with 15k, leaving me with 5k which is obvious to me is a round about way saying im fully out of pocket. any dealers or past experience owners know what i can say to my dealer to bring some sense to them or is ford really wanting 20k for a top that doesnt last 4 years...

Have you checked out other options like after market options? I know there’s a few options out there that people have raved about tops being better than cheap ford one from factory. They cost about $5K as well

i would 100% go for aftermarket at this rate, however this whole thing started with my dealer saying they could get ford to help significantly. im thinking ford would help with the "accessory" price so you can imagine my disappointment. while the aftermarket options are good at around 5k, they dont offer the same open air ease so i gunned for the oem.

but they are trying to have you pay the full bill and get credited after you buy it? i don’t understand why they can’t invoice the accessory you should be able to invoice that not it parted out on every line item. Your first one I’ve seen trying to buy the oem one. Maybe buy a extended warranty and get it warrantied might be a lot cheaper as dumb as that sounds 🤷‍♀️ sorry don’t understand why they are doing this to you

i bought an extended warranty 10y/100k and learned the hard way that none of the extended warranties covers cosmetics. they definitely took me for a ride on this one.

How bad is your current top. if it is just the cracking I would flex seal it or LineX it and if that is not an option I would just slap an Armadillo top on it. with the gull wings rear windows and the section you can remove it is pretty top off feeling.

every panel has 2-7" clusters of hairline cracks. does linex actually fix the cracking? armadillo is nice i agree

I sure hope the efforts to get a class-action lawsuit against Ford gets traction. I can’t believe that Ford won’t let owners pay the difference for a painted hardtop to replace the MICs.

Because they hope you trade in and buy a new Bronco. Corp America doesn’t give 2 turds about you.

If you are set on the MIC top, a member in Utah is trying to sell his for $3500.

This is why ford is a joke. My extended warranty did nothing for this issue so now here I have a failing hardtop as well. Their “assistance was a slap in the face. Asking me to pay 3800 for replacement of certaint panels and not a complete top.

You have a itemized list which is going to cost more. It's always going to cost more to buy each piece individually. That's like needing a new engine and buy each piece separate versus the entire assembly.
