Has anyone figured out how to remove the rear seatbelt in the floor and fix the wire to where it does not set the airbag light? I had mine tucked till I started my rear decking. The hold the deck at a bad angle. I am using metal not wood.

I believe that most folks just leave them in and tuck them under whatever platform they put in back. Not clean, but simple, reliable and reversable!

On my Goose Gear rear seat delete I detached the seat belt from the rear seat and left it plugged in, wrapped it in some plastic wrap to protect it and tucked it away.

I believe the wires are long enough that if you let them dangle as far forward as possible, they dip down in to the area where the floor slopes downward, so you could still have a fully flat decking surface.

I purchased new latch assemblies, tore them apart and removed the wiring/plug. I then just used the plugs from the sacrificial latch assemblies.
Was there anything special about them? resistor etc?

A plug, about 5" of wire and a rectangular box roughly 1x3x.5. I'm assuming the box has a resistor of some sort in it. It's sealed. I can post a pic of it if you are interested in seeing it.

How much were the seatbelts? might go the same route.

They showed a left and right. One was about $25. The other around $60. Both wire assy's had the same part number on them so I would think you'd be good just getting 2 of the less expensive latches.

Quoting for context. @Valhalla If you are ordering sacrificial assemblies, then go with 2 of the cheapest. Left/Right doesn't matter as you are only interested in the wiring and will be disassembling from the actual assembly.

That is the current plan.

How did taking apart the rear seat latch go to just get the sensor.

I pried apart my extra set I purchased but was not sure how far I needed to go..it looks like the latch also connects to the sensor.

Any pics of what you ended up with.

Thanks
