Late last year we totaled our Yellowstone HLE on the way back from vacation around Labor Day. Luckily we have somewhat recovered in the last 6 months and have got back on the horse (pun intended). Bought my wife an SQ7 as a daily driver to replace her HLE which she loves. The TT V8 power and sound is glorious.
But………something was missing.

So I traded in my RS5 for something a bit more practical.
We have adopted a couple dogs since the accident and need to both be able to transport them to daycare and such and the Audi coupe was just not practical.

With all the huge rebates on 2024’s it got me thinking. Was doing some due diligence on the pre-owned 2024 raptor market and stumbled across this one $28,000 back of msrp with 3000 miles. Could not resist.
velocity blue, black leather, carbon pack, code orange.

will likely peel off the stickers as it is not my speed but love the seatbelts and the color combo.

pic of totaled one included for those that have not seen it.

Raptor looks sweet and I'd probably peel off the stickers as well, VB is a great color. Owning a Yellowstone HLE myself that photo just pains me. Thankfully it sounds like no one was hurt to badly.

T-bone by a semi, impressive. Looks like you put a hurt on the big rig also.
Nice to see you made it out of that wreck. Bronco looks to have held up its end of the bargain safety wise.

Semi was in a bad way. We hobbled away and will be ok eventually.

Beautiful outcome, especially if everyone is healthy.

Stickers off would have been my close with the dealer. "If you'll take those off, we have a deal"! 😁

Ha!
They said they would but my ocd about my cars kicked in and said nah, we’ll take care of it. Needs ceramic coating anyhow. 😣

It's my smidge of OCD that makes me not like the pattern, lol! I have a pinstripe but it's one and one color!

I get the wanting to do it right, rather than fast though.

Glad it wasn’t worse for you guys. I hate to see photos of wreaked broncos! Hopefully, with your continuing recoveries, new dogs and that eye-popping blue raptor, your best days are ahead!

The SQ7 is a solid replacement for daily duty, especially with dogs in the mix. Hard to beat that mix of space and the V8 when you still want something that feels special on the road.

And the Raptor purchase actually makes a lot of sense in that context. Once you start factoring in real-world use (dogs, trips, daily practicality), coupes like the RS5 tend to become more “occasion” cars than something you actually reach for day to day. The current market on 2024 leftovers is also pretty hard to ignore if you find the right spec.

When operating such vehicles, the issue of the ecosystem—notifications, service reminders, and condition tracking—also often comes up. In this regard, it's convenient when all of this can be centralized and automated, for example through integrate onesignal, so you don't have to keep track of everything and miss important maintenance events.

Interesting call on the decals too — I get the appeal of the factory look vs. full branding. The base color combo on those trucks usually stands on its own anyway.

Great truck! Congrats! 1st order of business would definitely be peeling those stickers off. Velocity Blue is a great color.
