Ha ironically I only have ever done AOAA in the snow and never Rausch. I def want to take the Bronco to Rausch though to learn it's limits. I think I just need a trans skid and I am good otherwise.
lol I JUST installed one!

I have no intention of treating the factory bash plates like I did the 3 sets of BudBuilt skids I demolished but I am happy to have something letting me know when things are getting a bit sketchy underneath.

Comparing the @Mabett aluminum skid to the heavy duty steel stuff I'm used to destroying...honestly, I'm not concerned. It's a good option that works with the factory sway bar disconnect, and nothing I'm running with the Bronco risks smashing through the skid, cracking the differential mount, and driving the front diff through the upper oil pan at speed πŸ˜„

Popped a 3rd factory Goodyear on FR 300 (Mogollon rim rd) while doing recon for the best x-mas tree cutting area on Sat.

Are these things made of wet TP or something? No, I didn't air down, but with the exception of some washbaord and a few ruts (and at least 1 pointy rock), it's a passenger car rd. Was only around 30-32lb due to it being 55 degrees out there (about 1/2 of what it was in Phoenix). Will definitely NEVER buy a GY tire. Should have driven from the dealer straight to discount tire. I think the cheapest Chinesium tire made would out-do these. At least I can chalk it up to "Let's put the shittiest, cheapest tire we can on at the factory"

I have to but 1 again, cause the wife's car needs struts and tires, and those aint cheap for a BMW 4 (even a 9 year old one).
I refuse to buy a Goodyear tire after many instances of what you describe on work trucks that always had Wranglers. Also I'm in team load range E for conditions where we live. Currently loving Falkens.

I'm sure the Mammoth, at AOAA, will test your Broncs limit.

Ha yeah I just saw you installed yours. I plan on getting the LOD skid since it covers the damn x members I know I will get hung up on. Probably overkill for this truck but whatever lol

Went for a weekend wheeling/camping trip up in the San Bernardino National Forest. The new Bronco towed like a dream. So much more power than my Jeep ever had.
Thanks for sharing your camping trip! We hope you had a great time.

Sat 9/7 Tested out the Eibach 2.0 coilovers at rocks and valley orv park. Got some kind of strange thud maybe binding that’s new with this setup. The guys with us couldn’t pinpoint the location when on the ramp.

Describe the thud. Does it happen when the suspension gets twisted up? Does it feel like it drops a few inches?

Popped the bumper ends and front bars off, wrenches on day one was fun!

Yes when the rear tires are getting stuffed in. We looked everywhere nothing is rubbing. I have a feeling it’s the rear trailing arm bushing. You felt it more than heard it. Definetly not metal in metal. Feels like rubber binding up then releasing. There is almost 3” less droop in the rear over my current setup but more up travel.
