Competitive against cars that blow up?
I deal with Chinese metal suppliers and machine shops. They have no quality assurance over there what so ever. It's nonexistent. Half of what comes out of there is crap. Needless to say we are done dealing with that crap from here on. Major oil companies won't even accept their subpar material anymore. We once found remnants of what looked like an engine in a forging we bought from there.

Given it is a plugin hybrid and pure eletric motor based, it is somewhere in between Maverick and Cybertruck.

You didn't answer my questions but my point is that we shouldn't sleep on our laurels and wait for these vehicles subsidized by the Chinese government to invade the country.Here you go said the troll. And there is plenty more out there.
They have the capacity to learn and react quickly. Just 5 years ago, nobody would have guessed Chinese made vehicles would come near the USA, now we have the Buick Envision, a few Volvos and Polestars, the Cadillac CT6H and the Lincoln Nautilus plus they are all over South America.
I'm glad President Biden is proposing steep tariffs because if they are not stopped, they will be everywhere like the electronics are now.
