Hopefully this is all. Have you tried this yet?Yup. That would work. I had only jacked up one side but as BMB said, maybe that wasn’t enough movement to engage.

2-3 more week backorder.Damn! How long till a new coil. Are they exchanging it who you bought from?
That is awesome. It sucks, but it is still awesome....Just looking at it casually, I just mistook
It for part of the coil and didn’t think anything of it.
With the spacer ring - voila - it works.
Here’s a few pics of what I’m talking about...
If you still have this stuff when I go to regear, I'll hit you up! Truly glad all is well with the axle now!So last batch of parts finally all arrived.
This go around, I was looking at the Spicer parts list for this differential, and I noticed they list a spacer plate between the coil and the locking ring that I don’t recall seeing either time I took it apart.
So I ordered one of those, a new right side bearing, and to make sure this was the last time I was in there, I also ordered an entire new carrier and master rebuild kit (full set of bearings, shims, etc)
So I took it apart, and set the two carriers side by side. Couldn’t notice any difference. The spacer plate was just a thin plastic ring, I definitely didn’t remember anything like that before. But having the original coil still, and the latest coil - sure enough - the plastic spacer ring was stuck up in the original coil.

So if anyone may be interested, I have a brand new carrier, master rebuild kit with bearings and shims, a diff spreader, and a clamshell bearing puller that will be sitting around for a while gathering dust. I could make someone a heck of a deal.
I’ll probably post them in the Sale section later on, but they would cost a fortune to ship.
