I hadn't seen this, but I am honestly bothered to no end by people comparing the Wildtrak with the Rubicon. People should know by now the Badlands is the direct Rubicon competitor.

How is it an illegitimate comparison?

Rubicon Wranglers come with 33's and a sway bar disconnect. The Badlands comes with 33's and a sway bar disconnect. The Wildtrak comes with 35's and no sway bar disconnect.

The comparison isn't illegitimate, but it isn't the best comparison between the two vehicles.

If you have lockers, why wouldn't you use them. Other than for dramatic effect...

There isn't really a good direct comparison right now for the Wildtrak. I would say probably the Mojave when that finally comes out, as it's only a Gladiator trim at the moment, but that is only supposed to come to the four door models, still doesn't have 35's from factory, and I believe is missing a front locker.

Unless Jeep Changes something in their lineup, there is currently no direct comparison between the Wildtrak and a Wrangler so you have to take any comparison with a grain of salt on both ends.

Although I agree that it will add a little articulation it still is not a big jump. There are plenty of videos with it engages the disco and the tire is still hanging in the air. There are also plenty of videos comparing these where the Badlands cannot keep the tires on the ground where the jeep does. The Wildtrack is advertised as their top of the line off roader. I think Ford did a pretty bad job with naming and advertising the Bronco and Bronco sport.

There is a big jump in articulation with a Badlands with 33's. The difference is less noticeable on a SAS version.

Did no one actually read the piece....of course not this is the internet.....

"Ford offers a few ways to get a trail-friendly option package, however, to equip a Bronco with the front swaybar disconnect system, you must select Badlands model. We had a Wildtrack and that trim level cannot be optioned with the system. Aside from that missing piece of tech, we got very close to an even match. Here’s how each vehicle was equipped. "
