Sun Strip or Whole Windshield Tint?

I have just completed tinting both passenger and driver windows, and have done some extensive research but cannot seem to find any Broncos (except the sport) with a Sun Strip. Has anyone gotten one done or is it worth it just tinting the whole windshield?

I would personally never tint the front windshield, definitely landing strip

How dark are you thinking, 20%? Or go clear to block out UV lights?

That's a full windsheild ceramic tint. My wife is in the driver seat and you can BARELY see her.

Not exactly positive on the legality, but my detailer said he will fix it for free if I get pulled over.

This is the darkest I could go legally on the front windows. Same ceramic tint.

Me and my wife both prefer the whole windshield to be tinted. The Bronco will get 20% on the sides, and 35% on the entire windshield.

I do know it is not legal in Florida. A buddy of mine had his done and ended up having to get the car towed after getting pulled over (officer would not let him drive it).

Im in Orando, and yeah it isn't legal, yet some people do it. One of mine with a Jeep got his done and hes been riding around with it for about 2 years now with no issues.

I know plenty of people who have done it and had no problems as long as it is very light, the main reason for the tow was more his attitude. His side windows were 5% and he decided to argue with the officer instead of just driving away with a warning this resulted in his windshield being checked.

You ought to DM theherofails, he's had some Auto Dim issues since his tint.

AZ allows tint down to 33% transmission on the windshield and front side windows. (which is pretty dark)

The side windows on my Expy are actually dark enough that it's sometimes hard to see out them at night. Never had a legal problem.

Yeah, this tint looks darker than what its rated at. Very reflective as well. I'm adjusting to it still. Maaay have gone a shade too dark on the back and made the rear view mirror pointless.

This is the stuff I had installed through my favorite detailer. They are an authorized installer and did a KILLER job.

I have 70% ceramic on the windshield on my Mustang - I didn't want the windshield dark, but the ceramic makes a huge difference heat wise. The sides I did 20%. I've never liked the tint strip at the top of the windshield look - just looks out of place to me.

I thought there was photosync or other “tint” that blocks windshield UV without affecting visibility.

I had mine done my raptor for 6 YEARS… only got 1 ticket through that whole time and it was on a one-way road with a cop pulled over facing traffic… (bad luck)

Without the tint you likely could have seen the "do not enter" sign
