question one yes.

not limited on all squatch because the disconnect only on the Badlands and FE.

to answer your last question it is obvious you are not aware of what a disconnect does....

see pic.

being able to disconnect bar allows more wheel travel. If no disconnect wheel only travels so far down because the sway bar end link will limit its travel. It is very hard to explain it typing, a quick google search will do wonders for a better explanation. Google is you friend guys if you don't understand

watch the reveal video when they explain the disconnect it shows the Bronco's suspension dropping when it is disconnected.

The guy you quoted was probably right. The disconnect should have nothing to do with the Sasquatch package’s limited travel.

The sway bar disconnect doesn’t allow more travel. It allows more flexing. The shocks are what allows more travel.

Imagine going high speed through whoops. The 33 tires will have an extra inch of space in the wheel well to travel up and down soaking up the bumps. The 35s will have to be stopped from traveling that extra inch so they don’t hit the top of the wheel wells.

where did you get the 3" lift from?
I talked to my dealer about it amongst other things. He said that it was what he was told about the Squatch package. I primarily asked him if they would have a floor model so when I go into the ordering phase. They will. I then started asking other questions like the Squatch package. He said in order to get the clearance and articulation of the tires, a lift of 3 inches was needed. I also saw a video from another dealer in Alabama say the same thing.

This scenario paints a clear picture for me. Thank you.

Question...to regain the clearance you had on 33s with the 35s would you just add a lift or is there something else required?

Yeah if you add a lift you could get back that travel. Just remove/replace that extra bump stop.

Thanks for clarifying.
So If rumor is true that there will be a 2” factory/dealer lift option, it should restore the clearance you had with the 33s and possibly more, correct.

From my experience, Dealers are the last place you want to get your info from.

Can we talk a little about the difference between 4.46 gears and 4.7 (i.e. pros and cons).

I am still confused about the main differences. (talking automatic here btw)

Is it mainly that on the lower end, the 4.7 will be able to roll at lower speeds?

I will ask this question to the chassis team lead.........
The exact question I have is if the Bilsteins are the same, where exactly does the extra 1/2” (over the tire) of height come from?

Spacers? Leveling?

Also does Squatch add bumpstops to limit uptravel?

(Or is it all tire — MTs bigger than ATs?)

4.46 >> better MPG and lower RPMs when cruising at higher speeds but it will give the sensation of less torque to the ground when compared to 4.7
4.7 >> worst MPG and higher RPMs but it will give the sensation of better torque to the ground when compared to 4.46

I think Ford went with a very aggressive gear 4.7 on the Sasquatch package because they are anticipating everyone will off-road the bronco.

That's my understanding and someone will correct me if I am wrong about the above

The strange thing is that the Raptor comes with 35s but has 4.1 gears. BUT then it has much more HP and Torque.

My experience is the added weight of the rim/tire combo for 35 beadlocks vs 33 alloys you need more gear to have the same on-road/off-road experience. Unsprung weight has way more of an effect on the vehicle dynamics than most people think. For example, if you drag raced the 4.46 with 35" beadlocks vs 33" alloys (assuming a few lbs lighter) the 33's would walk the 35's every time. Obviously same would go for offroad, you'll use more engine output with 35's to get the same results with 33's. Basically you need the added gear with the higher rotational mass to come out net zero.

The 33's would handle better, and stop shorter too. I was kinda hoping the squatch package would address brakes, but it didn't.

If the lift is the same, this has me thinking to stick with the 33's, and eventually get a set of light weight deadlock wheels with some good light tires.

This also has the added benefit of being able to get a wheel i like more, and not look like every other bronco.

So you started a thread because you said you were tired of people giving out confusing and wrong info and then yours kind of turned into that. Lol

From what we have seen from the head of marketing the suspension is the exact same on the badlands and the Squatch.

It is confirmed that the badlands will have more suspension travel than any other trim. That would also confirm that it has the same suspension without the up travel stopper.

To fit 33’s on a vehicle that comes base with 30’s you would most likely need a lift. It makes sense that Badlands will come with the same Sasquatch suspension just with smaller tires to make room for more articulation.
You're not wrong but I think it was bound to happen the way this is going. But to be fair Post #1 is still factually correct and shows all the known differences accurately and concisely. I will update it as we learn new facts. Things get confusing and blown out of the water when people start asking the same question about things we don't know or stating opinions from their own preferences. It's bound to happen I guess which is fine and I was just trying to suggest I thought the assumption on the same suspension between Badlands and Sasquatch was probably not right. Perhaps I am wrong.

If you have the confirmation from the head of marketing that suspensions are the same can you please post that here? I have not seen that yet.

the 4.7 is the gear in the rear diff.always stays the same in badlands (even with sas)
Please stop saying that. It is not accurate. The very chart in the quote you responded to shows that the Badlands auto Without Sas has 4.46 rear gearing.
