Here in B6G we already have several reports - (examples below)
-- After only 1 or 2-months on road -

What Percentage (%) of MY21 Broncos are having Major Mechanical Failures ?

Rough Estimates - (corrections welcome)
-- about 10 reports so far here in B6G ??
-- less than 1000 B6G members have received their Builds ??
-- maybe half of B6G members report their problems here ??

These Rough Estimates imply Major Mechanical Failures are more than 2% ??
-- This would be completely unacceptable to most buyers -
-- Hey Ford . . Reliability First . . then bells & whistles . .

More Questions -
A) After only 1 or 2-months ? . . . How bad will it be after 1-Year ??
B) Endless Production Delays at MAP ? - Is this another reason ?? - Major Mechanical failures being addressed ??
C) Will MY22 be any better ??

Examples -
-- Engine Seized - July 26 - @mmcq -
-- Engine Seized - Sept 11 - @Broncoshrimp -
-- Drivetrain Failure - July 27 - @Rcarpen22 -
-- Broken Axle - July 21 - @Homebowlking -

Others -
-- Engine Overheated - August 15 - @Kamseyk -

More Examples Welcome - these are the ones I remember -

Over 3K miles in and exactly zero mechanical issues. I have some cosmetic issues from transit damage.

I have literally used every GOAT mode, just used the manual buttons (which I usually prefer to GOAT modes), driven on highways, driven in driving rainstorms, spent 8 hours climbing rocks in 4L, high centered on rocks while in 4L, used lockers, not used lockers, used trail control, used the manual shift thing, sprayed out the inside with my garden hose.

I've literally done all the things.

And it just keeps on going.

My recommendation is to drive your bronco and then, if there's some mechanical problem, call your dealer and get it fixed under warranty. That's what warranties are for!

OK let's try for more accurate estimates . .

Let's start with 2) . . # of B6G members who have received their Builds -
- For MY21 Ford reported about 125,000 orders ? (Levine ?)
- and so far they Delivered about 7,000 ? (PremierDrum ?)
- So Ford has Delivered about 5.6% of MY21 orders ?
- And the # of B6G members who registered an Order Date is ~ 3,500
- But let's be generous - let's say 6,000 members placed an MY21 Order
- So the # of MY21 Builds delivered to B6G members would be about 5.6% of 6,000 = 336 . . roughly

- So my initial estimate of 'less than 1000' was overly generous -
- A better estimate is roughly 336 B6G members have received their Builds

Now let's talk about 1) . . # of Failures -
I have not been watching closely . . .
If I've seen five, then I figured there must be at least 10 . . . but let's go with five (5) . . .

Overall Failure Rate -
So with roughly 336 MY21 delivered here in B6G . . . and five (5) reported Failures . . .
And figure about half of B6G problems get reported here -
This gives MY21 Failure rate of about 3% -

And I've adjusted the OP to reflect these better estimates -
Your convenience sample sucks. This is just not the way we do things for accurate data analysis.

Also, self report is known as the absolute worst way to collect data. Now, it's some rando on a forum trying to inaccurately collect data to make a point that our vehicles are failing. It's poor analytical reasoning.

Don't really want to comment on the magic math above...

However, Toyota owner here and the Bronco looks good and is not a piece of crap. Generally my Toyotas have been reliable and comfortable. They are not without fault but no vehicle is. So far my Tacoma has not had the timing chain cover leak nor the rear coolant bypass line failure...yes they all have faults. I'm glad Ford put two proven engines in the Bronco.

One thing is for sure. DO NOT WAX THE MIC TOP

🤣
Yep, absolutely known to cause broncos to flip upside down. It's a mathematically proven fact.

Not enough data yet to draw any conclusions.

I do find it somewhat humorous that all engine problems have been with 2.7s so far.

did you even read these posts and see the end result? this particular poster got excited when seeing steam and posted it as an overheat. it was not, it was a coolant leak, hardy a major engine failure rather a TGW that was easily resolved.

I suppose if you did read it through and then still used it as an example of your biased anal-ysis you are indeed a troll. or did you just read headline and fly off on a tangent?

Let’s just stop making up data and stating it as fact. Thanks.

You posted exactly 4 major failures. So using your made up numbers the “failure rate” would be 4/336 or .0119. 1.2%

This, again, is all complete garbage though considering you have no idea how many members have taken delivery or how many have experienced failure.

You can’t assume how many failures are posted vs actual or be generous on number of orders. All that does is skew the numbers to make your ridiculous argument.

You are overthinking it and if you buy one, you are setting yourself up for a horrible ownership experience.

Save yourself from the made up stress and just buy a Toyota.

For the record :
- I have early Reservation, & early Order -
- And more than year ago paid $1,100 deposit - still on deposit -

- I do not want a Jeep -
- I do not want another 4Runner -
- Bought existing 4Runner in 1990 -
- Since then, have not bought any 4-wheel vehicles, only bikes -
- Now need more reliable 4-wheel ride -

- I want to buy a Bronco, and I want it to be reliable -

One way to improve reliability is hold Ford accountable for the many problems they're shipping . . .

But here in B6G we see that Ford doesn't need to worry about that . . . they know they'll get a free pass from their minions of stooges, goons, pet-squirrels, ninnies, flunkies, and apparatchiks . . . . . aka . . 'the Believers' . . .
