So looking at the FAQs further, basically those of us who are built 2 doors but sitting at Dirt Mountain don't even qualify for the extra $1100 worth of Ford Pass points? I feel like the 2 door folks are the ones who have been screwed the most by all of this and we don't even get the "I'm sorry" peck on the cheek like the dual/mod/FE folks get.
Im not on dirt mountain and my top actual seems pretty good, but heavy water exposure and humidity are the main driving force behind the deterioration. I can reassure @Ford Motor Company and everyone else. Between now and earliest possibly replacement time frame, it’s gonna be exposed to a good deal of rain, but mostly humidity over near or above 90% almost daily between now and then. How bad cosmetically will it look? More importantly could it lead to function issues as the looks deteriorate, and what is the solution if it does?

Im not so much worried about the points (don’t get me wrong, I’ll use them if available) but those nice door storage bags would be real nice. The top is easily stored safely in my garage and could survive a scar or two, but that painted door? Young boys roam around inside my house so not safe there. The wife wasn’t happy when she woke up from her nap snuggled up to the driver door in our bed because it was only place safe at the moment. My dog ain’t the brightest, so I know he would purposely walk all over them in the garage if I used a blanket for protection. Plus, why should my blanket be punished. I like the bag for the front panels, but honest I would half expect them to scratch anyway. They are rarely visible, but the doors.

I read “customer satisfaction program” in this document a few times. Aside from delivering a hopefully quality top that should happen anyways, @Ford Motor Company what customer satisfaction efforts is Ford making for the increased MIC delays? It’s no longer Spring delivery and the $1,000 of the $1,100 of Ford pass points seems to only apply to those with Mod tops who switched to MIC. @Ford Motor Company - The rest of us MIC reservation holders should get this $1,100 too for the continued delays.
I haven’t seen that 1000. Assume it populates after purchase?

Oh i get it, i work for one of the largest corporations in the world, hard to quickly turn around a battleship, but there comes a point where u need to cut the losses. Btw, i have not received an email saying everything they said in a youtube chat, and somebody leaked news on a forum. Thats what i am saying, they could have communicated this to each of us personally as well. There are people who still dont know this is happening because they dont do forums or subscribe to these youtube channels.
There seemed to be indication an email is coming. Looks like not much will be changing for some time, so if it takes a week for an email, I'm good.
I just saw Autoblog picked this story up, so the general public will hear soon. Plus, if there is an email coming, every customer will receive it.

You were compelled if you wanted your Bronco sooner which you will receive sooner than someone with a MIC top, want to wait? you'll get a MIC top eventually.
You’re missing my point. I held out for the MIC top until Ross started reporting his MIC top issues and the scope of the issue was becoming more and more clear, so I switched at thIs last deadline to help my chances at getting a MY2021. I 110% do not want a soft top, but I 110% want a 2021 Bronco because from a timing standpoint, I can’t afford to wait for a MY2022.

When the time comes, I’ll be paying dealer invoice so assuming that the MIC top stays at its current MSRP (doubtful), I‘d have to pay more for that, more for freight, full price of the sound deadening headliner, and probably all at once vs. having it included in my finance agreement. All because @Ford Motor Company can’t stay on schedule.

Wondering at this point how many reservation holders are going to jump ship. A ton of people were already "on the fence" but still holding out because they had already waited THIS long and Ford was finally getting close to being on track again . . . but now more (and major) bad news. I have to believe this will be the catalyst for a chunk of lost reservation holders, as evidenced by some of the posts we are seeing here. I take no joy in seeing my fellow enthusiasts turn away like this, but perhaps a paired down waiting list will help those of us who can afford to wait several more months. Congratulations to those who will still be getting a 2021, and best of luck to all who now believe a Wrangler or Tacoma, etc. is in their immediate future.
I’m sure there are also many people who have limped their current vehicles to the point of needing a vehicle now.

yeah i agree i missed out by like 10 f@#$ing days
Yeah, the Mustang decided to blow out the rear end 1st week of April. If it had died earlier I'd have put in earlier.

What do you think the current MSRP is? There isn’t one, and they won’t hint because of the sticker shock $3k+ will bring.

I love that they are stating that it is an appearance issue and doesn’t affect functionality. GTFO with that nonsense. As the crappy exposed seems delaminate there will be water intrusion issues that will affect the functionality, strength, weight, etc.

Even in their Mea Culpa Ford sugar coats the issue.
I think what they're getting at is that it's ok enough to last until they can get a replacement to you, without saying that.

The thing that confuses me is with the 100k Ford points if I take a 2021 (ha) or 2022 (ha, ha) delivery. With a painted hardtop I'm not getting mine until 2023...so I miss out on those points through no fault of my own?
Yeah, it doesn't make sense to me either, and I'm disappointed in that - no free sound deadening headliner either.

Ok, this news is not that surprising based on everything going with the MIC tops. I have been a MOD top order since day 1, 99nd and pushed to MY23 (supposedly). I’m a little nervous that there was no mention of the MOD top timetable.
Well, from what we've heard, the MOD top was given to a different supplier altogether, so this new theoretically shouldn't affect the revised MOD top timeline.

I am thinking about changing to a soft top. Do we know what the price of a new mic top once it becomes available? Will Ford price it over the cost of the current option at $695?
Absolutely - you'll be paying parts dept pricing. I'd estimate at least 3k.

I read “customer satisfaction program” in this document a few times. I mean, try being stuck waiting for a '23 with the MOD top and you get no points or headliner or anything if you wait. Just waiting with no compensation aside from price protection.

So if I read that right I cant get my dual top order until 2023 model but I also wont get any Ford Pass points bonus because I have to take a 2021 or 2022 model? WTH!!!
Please explain that logic. 🤦‍♂️
Yup, doesn't make any sense to me either.
