📣 Ford announces MIC hardtop solution (program 21B49): unscheduled orders will get MY2022, delivered & built Broncos will have tops replaced

My bronco was built July 22nd, that's one day after those affected, according to the info released. Anyone willing to bet my build will be lost in the mix? I'm thinking I'm a long way from "released to ship" update, or any email for that matter.

I believe that is the recall language and they haven’t shipped any MICs (like yours and mine) since that date. We are recalled before delivery and on dirt mountain.

That bulletin is only for delivered vehicles. No vehicles were (edit) SHIPPED after 7/21 because of the bad tops. Your vehicle will be held until it’s turn for a good top.

Why would sitting in a lot cause dents any more than shipping it to you today? If you're that concerned, cancel your order and get in line for 2023/24. Sincerely sorry it's causing you such angst.

Ew? I have a perfectly good vehicle. If the Bronco never shows up I will be disappointed but life goes on. Maybe I’ll get a nice little travel trailer instead but not a different vehicle.

That could happen pretty much anywhere, but I get it--I too would rather have my Bronco under my care and control than sitting in a lot far from me.

My raptor sat in my backyard for a month with a leaking seal, flooded interior. I only noticed condensation on the windows and had to dry it out.
Imagine it happening to these. No one checking on them after first rain. This sucks

I read “customer satisfaction program” in this document a few times. Aside from delivering a hopefully quality top that should happen anyways, @Ford Motor Company what customer satisfaction efforts is Ford making for the increased MIC delays? It’s no longer Spring delivery and the $1,000 of the $1,100 of Ford pass points seems to only apply to those with Mod tops who switched to MIC. @Ford Motor Company - The rest of us MIC reservation holders should get this $1,100 too for the continued delays.

What sort of timeframe you thinking for us?

The statement says communication about our rigs by Sept. Others more informed say the new tops might be showing up in October, but will go into the earliest bad batches first (6/30 builds)Can’t say that excites me about coming before Thanksgiving. Perhaps they will switch things up and underpromise and over deliver. For the first time.

Well, maybe inadvertently I am "that guy". I didn't intent to offend, just expressing my opinion and experience that "lot rot" is not a certainty for our Broncos in purgatory, and pointing out an alternative (crappy one at that) that we all have. My 7/16 built Bronco is sitting there too. I don't like it one bit. I'd would rather have it under my care and control, but I can't do anything about it. If it's delivered with damage that can't be repaired to my satisfaction, then I'll have to either live with it or move on. That's pretty much the only two choices we in the "My vehicle build date has passed:" category have. Here's hoping that yours, and everyone's, are delivered as if they had just come off the line.
