I have two showing. One shows to be 1 lb and the other 22 lbs...
If it's 22.4 pounds of bourbon, I might stay pumped.

What happened to Ford saying the chip shortage will not affect the bronco. Some thing else they over spoke on.
Ford is and has for awhile been only speaking to shareholders, not customers. They’re just saying things to make the stock prices rise. It’s the same reason why they did this half brained “reservation” system. Just to brag about how many reservations there are to raise stock prices regardless of their inability to actually execute the strategy.

I just want to know - for those that had July build dates with a MIC top (that have now slipped into Sept/early Oct) what is the probability we will get a 2021....or will we continue to slip into 2022.

I recently got out of my family SUV (end of lease extension), and need a replacement by Feb (2nd baby due). Seeing how difficult it is to get a new car, I could either order something else now, and get it in 4 months, or continue to wait on the Bronco. But continuing to get strung along into 2022 would be incredibly frustrating. I think for those in that boat, having some guidance would be very appreciated.

While I do feel for those that haven't be given a VIN, I think the probability of a 2021 is low enough, that it's at least easier to make a decision as to how to configure your stable in the near term.

For me, it's starting to get to the point that i care more about knowing WHEN I will get my bronco, rather than actually receiving it...If that makes sense...I just dont know how to plan around this...sure I could 99 it and plan around something more definitive, but that’s a very tough call to make right now without any guidance
Just my opinion, but there is no way I would wait for a Bronco if I were in your situation. Consider picking one up a couple of years from now and move forward with something to fill your family needs now. No one can say for certain when you would get yours so you would be relying on luck and that doesn't make much sense. My 2 cents.

@NC_Pinz to be clear, i had a 7/26 build date that is now 9/13. But again, I dont know if that gets pushed many times over that it goes to 2022. I think/hope i still have good odds to get it in the Fall. But who knows. Still working with a sedan, which is fine for a 2-3 months, but not 6+

Thanks for the clarification. Given that you have a VIN number, I would make due. You just don't know the timing which stinks. Have a fall back if the wheels come off or at least a contingency plan. Otherwise, stay the course brother.

This is 2 believable updates in a row! The doom and gloom posts are much more believable.
I prefer snarky sarcasm and memes. Only way to cope at this point. 🤷🏼‍♂️

n early 2021, Ten10 became the official partner to administer the new Bronco “Manage the Wait” gifting program, which involves sourcing, ideating, producing, and fulfilling over a dozen different premium products procured and distributed to over 120,000 recipients. Gifts sent include Bronco-branded hammocks, blankets, posters, decks of cards, and more, all designed with the outdoor adventurist in mind. The concept is meant to bridge the gap between the pre-order period and the time the buyer receives delivery of the much-anticipated legendary vehicle.

Ten10 was able to work with global vendors to source a very high volume of customized products and map logistics of packaging, shipping, and delivery all within limited timelines.
I got the sticker and the poster. I better get something else. That’s BS. I wanted a pineapple pizza sticker but that dream is fucked too

I think we’ve reached the point where all customer cancelled orders should actually be cancelled and not just sent to the dealerships.

Start producing Broncos for those of us that are keeping our orders.

I would bet that there has been a high percentage of cancellations that Ford is not willing to talk about.

Hey guys, I'm alive and well. I taught our band camp last week, 14 hours a day Mon-Fri. I was quite busy.

A blacked out Transit didn't abduct me in the middle of the night or anything.

Things are not great. Commodity issues far beyond the MIC tops have exploded, the chip shortage has finally reached the Bronco supply chain, and nobody really has any good answers at this point. As bad as the issues have been up to this point, this is worse.

Things are so fluid and changing so quickly, by the time I get scraps of new info it's quite likely outdated. If there's one little glimmer of good news, it may just be that the planned volume and availability of the dealer stock 4 door soft top units is quickly trending downward. After all, you can't build the "less desirable" units if you can't build anything at all.

Edit to add: My inbox is crammed with a metric ton of unread messages. If you're waiting on a reply, I'll try to get thru those in the next few days.

Q&A

In all honesty, FE reservation holders are the only ones who should feel super confident about much of anything at this point.

You're good.

To my knowledge, none of the purgatory holds are waiting on chips. MAP hasn't built any Broncos without chips awaiting further installation as other Ford plants have. I've heard of some proposals but nothing that's started yet.

No, emphatically. Hasn't happened, isn't happening, won't happen.
This one time at band camp…..😄 Glad you weren’t abducted! Thanks for the info!

I gave up on enjoying the summer in a new bronco when my order was pushed back to 8/16. Now dreams of taking photos with my cyber orange bronco in the fall colours are quickly fading, got pushed to 9/20. Now planning glamour shots of it looking like a lump of yellow snow assuming I get it this year at all.
#me too
Got bumped again. July 12 turned into Aug 9 turned into Aug 30th... how do you not know until last Thursday that my car cannot be completed this week. My current ride has 202k miles on it and climbing. The only good thing is it is an MB product and keeps on running.
I suspect I'll get another message with another delay. I hope they are taking this time to apply solutions to all of the stuff that is surfacing like the headliner peeling off, and the whistle from the grill, and the paint being scraped off the roll bar...

I bet that 80% of the "cancellations" are dealers who used dealership personnel to place reservations in anticipation of high demand so they would have something for inventory to sell. And those same dealers knew soon after the debut of the Bronco they were going to charge ADM on those same units.

Once those same dealers understood the upcoming commodity constraints (well before orders were due by March 19th). They also made them as buildable units moving themselves to the front of the line.
