In my opinion it’s time for the moderators to take this thread down I don’t think any of this is healthy for any of us…
There is a big blue “Ignore” button at the top of the thread. Click that and the thread will no longer appear in your forum feed, so your personal anguish will be over, but please don’t attempt to speak for the rest of us.

This is an important issue. Ford Reps are looking into it, and they are trying to run it to ground. Many of us would like to hear the results of that process when it concludes.

I'd be calling the regional Ford Corporate representative and have the dealership franchise license revoked.
I got screwed similarly by Joe Meyers Ford when the SportTrac was new. The 20% match requirement is all they’re held to. :/

Any updates with this?
None so far, although she has removed the post from FB. Maybe there's some resolution and part of the agreement was to remove the post.

@BlueBronco kinda sorta knows the lady. I was hoping they might have some new info with a happy resolution. I was also hoping jalopnik would do an article on what the dealer did and what the bronco community’s reaction was. Kind of a warning to other scum dealers.

Oh shit they actually sold it. Man if I were the person who bought it I would tell them $40k over sticker and you can have it back if not fuck off.

I don't know the reservation holder. I had an on going corresponded with a dealer principal early on in group buy negotiations. We couldn't come to terms so went elsewhere.

Edit. Wow just read the FB post from the next in line buyer. That is some down right shady s**t right there.

Having not personally met this friend of a friend, I did some research as well. She was open to sharing her order number and VIN with me, email status updates, and her communication with the salesman the day she was to pick up the vehicle this past Thursday.

She had someone reach out to her advising that the dealership was saying the Bronco was for sale because the order holder hadn’t qualified. This despite not going through financing once the dealer advised of the ADM spike. This person did not go through purchasing the Bronco because the markup was $15k.

Anyways, she’s now in communication with the contact that @Blue Bronco emailed and she’ll update me and her FB post after the weekend.
Any updates on this?

Here is a new one, got this from another forum, but guu went in to pick up his Bronco and...

  • I was pre-approved from my local credit union for a very good APR and the dealer stated I had to use Ford credit and the Ford APR was HUGE!!!! I was told this is a common Ford practice with new vehicle models. No worries, I'll be dumping the Ford loan next month.
That is BS , the dealer wants you to finance through Ford , so they can markup the interest rate 2-3% over their loan by rate, the extra 2-3% returns to the Dealer every month when you make a payment. This how the Dealer makes their money and a reason they hate cash and outside financing.
If you want to screw with a finance guy ask them what your loan buy rate is and how much markup they are allowed over said rate.

I love it when they do this. I take their shit financing and the next day run it with my credit union. It pisses them off so bad as the bank hits them with a charge back. I’ve had dealers BEG me not to refi for 6 months.

I’ve done the same thing, never make a payment with their bank

Yeah, just heard back on my follow up a few minutes ago. I too had noticed that her original FB post was gone.

She stated that she and the GM had indeed come to a resolution. I didn’t get the details of said resolution, but I know it didn’t involve the Bronco that had been delivered to the dealership because she said she was hopeful that she’d have a Bronco in the near future.
