Um…..anyone else notice the OP says they ordered the Bronco “online”? That’s not how it works……not at least here in the States……you reserve “online” and then have to place the order in person at a dealer of your choice…..at the time of ordering you and the dealer will select all options and the price will be calculated……then a order sheet will be filled out with said price along with dealer prep and any local tax and title costs…..then it will be added up and the finial price agreed on…..both dealer and orderer will sign said order sheet locking in the price. So I’m calling BS on this whole thread…..
Not ruling anything out until my bronco is in my driveway!Ohhhh I thought you went and pulled some radical shit at a dealership. Like shit on a managers desk.
Why do you care. Why are you blocking out some content when it is a public Facebook page?
Reading comprehension not your strong suit??? Go back and read what I wrote that you quoted….I’ll wait. And anyone that ordered a Bronco and didn’t sign a price agreement is a damn fool and deserves to get their Bronco sold out from under them.Pretty sure we all reserved our Broncos online. I guess if arguing semantics makes it invalid, then go for it. Also, if you think everyone ordering a Bronco signed anything with a price on it, you haven't been paying attention. Many people here didn't get any paperwork whatsoever from their dealer, and plenty never stepped foot in the dealership for anything in the process.
Yeah I think you're spot on. If you're dealing with any somewhat decent dealership, it won't ever go there since they will value their reputation too much to pull something this egregious... But if they do it anyways, it's good to know you probably do have the legal upper-hand. Even if you would never go so far as to hire an attorney over this, knowing your rights can help you put pressure on the dealer to make things right.Exactly. Misrepresentation. Easy. Fraud. Not as easy, but not impossible. Also, in most states, oral promises are enforceable if you take action on the oral promise; especially if $ is tendered and accepted (I.e. reservation and subsequent deposit). For sport I would have filed a TRO preventing the sale, and sought the equitable remedy of specific performance (sell me the car I ordered at MSRP). You can get a TRO ex parte (without notice to the dealer). The sale would then be enjoined for 14 days without a fight. I get it, some people would sit back and take it in the shorts. That’s their prerogative. I would not, but then again I would not have to hire an attorney. It really wouldn’t be as difficult as some seem to believe.
