66.75% final order conversion rate for 2021 Bronco

This is probably the wrong thread to ask but it seems relevant in my mind... I have a midday July 14th reservation (10169###). I ordered a Badlands mid package with 2.7. My dealer (Hertrich) says they got orders for the number of anticipated allocation but haven’t really given me any more detail than that. Curious with this high conversion rate.... am I thinking Summer, Fall, Winter Truck?

I have a 1987 RHD Defender 110 with a soft top that I will likely be selling to get the Bronco.

The only thing you can glean with your reservation date/time is if you may get a 2021 or 2022 model. It's probably a 2021 model but when it gets scheduled to be built is unknown. Ford will email you in May with an expected build date.

Obviously a very tough thing to estimate, I am earlier in the day on the 14th and I have been thinking October since I have a couple of the deadlies. My assumption is there are likely 30-40k ahead of us. Just spitballing at this point.

If gas prices keep going up, we may see more cancelation of ordered Broncos. It’s already up to $4 a gallon, here in California.

Here's my two prognostications that nobody asked for:

1. No colors are dropped for 2022 because 2021 is a short model year and Ford won't want to screw the people who got pushed to 2022.

2. Assuming supply chains get back online, Ford will produce way more than 70,000 Broncos in 2022.

I am one of the ones waiting until MY22. It's my understanding that those orders can't be converted until August or September of this year. At least that's what my dealership told me.

Exactly. Since the reservation deposit was with the dealer, they could refund the deposit for anyone who declined to order or was a non-contact, convert with the person's name still on the reservation, and then "no match" them when it was delivered. The "no match" was designed to protect them against cancellations, but they are definitely going to game the system. Unfortunately there will be Broncos on lots for sale before reservations are filled, something Ford guaranteed would not happen. Really sad for everyone waiting patiently and trying to follow the rules.
Ford needs to revisit this issue and tighten this up. I see the potential for a lot of abuse.

I totally believe this...but i thought ford built in some fail safes there to stop this sort of cheating? This number is way to high to be real.....

Just got our email, 66.75% national conversion rate, KC region was at 76% and our zone at 82%. So now we wait to find out what this means for allocation.

I suspect that the conversion rate includes those moving to MY 2022. Or in other words, if they didn't have to repay a deposit, it converted. In my case, I reserved two, ordered one, and pushed number two to MY 2022.

It is completly unknown as to what number of Broncos Ford could/would/does build. What will be tough is if those of us who have already been waiting 6-9 months start getting projected build dates from Ford >=Sept. 2022. I just hope you are right and Ford does produce > 70,000 in 2022.

What's really going to frost my Ba**s is seeing several Bronco's on the lot with huge ADM's months before I can get my reserved and ordered Bronco. I am sure some Dealers are calling their high dollar peeps telling them "Man have I got a deal for YOU!" Scumbags! Why I hate buying from a Dealer, but kudo's to the few up front and straight Dealers on this site.

My dealership calculates conversions after removing the cancellations, which were about 40% of the total reservations. I bet actual conversion percentage without removing cancellations will be much lower than 66% nationally.

Nope. 66% is based on the total number of reservations held....not what remains. So 133,000 or so orders in....

I find that number dubious. I wonder if that’s 66% of people who reserved ordering or 66% of the allocations that the dealer received transferred to sales.
my dealer had 44 vehicles and 130 something Broncos reserved.

It is 66% of those who reserved. 66% of the allocation estimate would be ridiculously low, since average allocation estimates for dealers was 30% of what they held...so you're opining an actual 20% (66% of that) conversion rate. No. 66% of total reservations made now sit as converted orders.

If I am not mistaken, it is how many reservations have been converted, not how many orders have been submitted.
