Sasquatch lite package

So many people want a bit more aggressive stance on the OBX and lower trims. But they don't want to necessarily go with the Sasquatch package.

What if Ford were to offer a Sasquatch lite package. Essentially the suspension that comes on the Badlands, 4:46 gears and 33s. Giving you this stance on an OBX, Black Diamond, Big Bend or Base straight from the factory.

The way I priced them, I think it's less than $2k for me to go Badlands over the OBX the way I want it. I'll just do the $2k I think.

Big Factors: If I can't get MGV then I'll do leather. And I want the advanced 4x4 and Lux

I absolutely agree. The non Sas Badlands is near perfect mechanically. But 10K more than my one locker B B.

I'm hoping the ford performance lift includes fox shocks like the one for the Ranger. I'll just go that route probably, but ill be waiting for details.

maybe one day they will- look how much a la carte stuff you can order on a jeep now but they have been at this forever- hopefully bronco will become a bit more like that by the time i'm buying my second one! for now i'll use the obx tires that come on it and probably throw some 33's on there for my second set of tires-

I'm curious: what makes "mechanical perfection" in a 4x4? I have never heard that....

4.46, 33's, Adv 4x4, Lockers, little lift...Sweet spot IMO re: Suspension, Gearing and tire size.

Oh, gotcha....I think capability wise, you certainly gain by making changes. Maybe perfect for what you look want, but going to taller gears, bigger tires, more lift, certainly make it more capable on the trail....so more perfect?

I’m just wondering how complicated it would be to do badlands size wheels, tires, and fender flares on a squatch when my 35s are ready for new set.

The biggest tire Ford will go on the M190 aluminum front differential is 32".
Open only.

GM uses only 31" tires (IIRC) on the Colorado with a locked M190.
And the strongest motor in the GM is about a powerful as the base 2.3L 4cyl in the Bronco.

So, factor in the cost of the M210.

The savings on this proposed package are:
No magnetic shocks
No Advanced Transfer Case
33" instead of 35" tires
No bead lock rims
No F/R lockers

I was thinking that strips things down too much.

A "Yeti Package" for northern climates would be:
33" three peak snow rated AT tires
M210 axle
Advanced Transfer Case
F/R gear driven Limited Slip Differentials.

That would be a winter/ mud driving beast.

By the time most of us actually get Broncos, the Bilsteins / springs will be available from people taking them off a Squatch or Badlands as they do lifts. Bolt them on, get an alignment, and you are good to go.

I wouldn't worry about the gearing too much. Plenty of Wranglers running around on 35's with 3.21s and 3.73s. 33's should be no problem.

Lockers would be the other big miss though.
