“Very basic vehicle with cheap finishes”
No not shitting at all.
And what cheap finishes? The grille and wheels? When you ordered steelies?

I don’t think theres value in the trim level upcharge.
The cloth interiors and seats across the board look cheap all the way to Wildtrack. It's bad enough that there will be cheap hard plastics and not enough soft touch material on models INCLUDING mine as well. I also wasn't aware that Sasquatch package which I ordered came with steelies. Maybe I should check my order forms.

Base bronco with a 2.7 and Sas, yeah I'd easily pass on that ;)

So you’re shitting on a base when the only difference I see from what can be built on a base is the grille and Marine grade interior, which I would prefer wet okole.

to each their own.

And a color, that no one knows howit will actually look day to day. Pastel Easter egg blue? Gumby green? Gee I dunno but I hope you match your sneakers to it
Lots of A51 Bronco sports floating around out there chief. Took about 10 minutes of searching to find a dealer 15 minutes away from me that had one.

Blank slate eh? I love the simplicity of it. The only change I would make is drop the front bumper and wait for aftermarket options (they are likely to cost as much, but probably will have more creative winch options).

Easy pass. They make a Badlands model...with LUX ;)
not gonna lie, as a soon to be BD owner I am jelly as hell of that 12 inch screen, really wish it was al a carte. It's like the dash was designed for it and slapping the 8 inch on was an afterthought.

I built a Base Sasquatch just the other night to check the price. If I was buying a Bronco as only an off road toy, that's probably what I would do.

In the scenario where I was seriously considering buying a Bronco, it would need to serve as my wife's daily driver as well, which would make it a much more luxurious and expensive build.

If you take my loving wife of 34 years out of the equation, for me, it would be SAS Base all day long. But she gets a vote and I'm ok with it.
Amen, brother!

I said it elsewhere, she picks the color, you pick the drivetrain. Win-win-win-win-win.

There are significant creature comforts that she wants and are not “optional,” no matter what build & price has to say about it.

cloth seats is a NFW for her, and hence for me. That automatically bumps me straight to Black Diamond or higher. Being limited to Mid package feels a little downmarket for the interior goodies that she’ll want. The leather on the OBX makes OBX so expensive that I might as well go Badlands and get the off-road goodies too.

And just like that, I’m into the mid-50s on a Badlands. Good thing this is our midlife crisis car, we’ve been saving for years and we can have only one car because we live in a big city with parking in a ramp. Another spot in the ramp would cost hundreds per month or more than another car to buy it outright. I’m soon 50, she’s soon 49. Time for another fun ride after ten years of penance in a glorified station wagon.

This is what I plan on getting although to me it's a lot of $$$$. Considering I just paid 28K last year for a brand new Silverado 4 X 4 Double Cab, 5.3 V8. More or less base truck although I think I got a lot of truck for 28K. Now I am going to spend 13K more to get a new Bronco. The good news is that with rising auto values I can probably sell my Silverado for at least 28K and have 0 depreciation on it.
Wow only 28k?
I've never purchased a truck or anything like it. Only sedans. Had no idea how cheap trucks were.

I think vs. a sedan it's not very well equipped for the price. But vs. Its direct competition, the jeep, it's very competitive price wise.

Jeeps set the rules. Ford has to play in that ballpark

for me, there is no heated seats. so pass.
For me, heated seats are a pass unless they are the ones in a GM where you can select back only, otherwise, who wants Swass?
