Depends on where you're coming from. Heated mirrors, power windows and power door locks are a luxury for me. But, I'm in a 2012 Sierra with no onstar, crank windows and wash out floors that I didn't pay extra for! Still has the factory battery since it does not have a bunch of crap on it.

Base has A/C and I don't even have to get out to lock the hubs. Basically a G-Wagon as far as I'm concerned.

This is not easy...I keep changing my order back and forth...BASESAS to BD 7SPD back to BASESAS back to BD 7SPD...a million times this week in WBDO
Just compromise and get the Wildtrak like your profile shows. ?

Alright guys, this is it. Tomorrow I submit my reservation for my Base Sas Bronco. I’m all ready to go and know what I want BUT...

Can one of you change my mind?
What is a better build?

My thing is that I want to stay below 40,000. (Never spending over 40k ever again, not worth it)

Note: Picture below is a 2 Door Badlands I saw in Orlando a few weeks back. The car is gorgeous. The perfect size!

If you will actually have a real not imaginary use for the lockers, sway bar disconnect, skid plates and other Sas components, then I'd say go for it. Otherwise it's a lot of money to spend fantasizing while driving to the grocery store.

Sure it would and so would the BD and any other Bronco driving to the grocery store. Thing is the BaseSas with more offroad options is still cheaper than the stock BD, which is very offroad capable in its own right.

I think for those like me, who don't have creature comforts/packages in current vehicles, the appeal is the BaseSas because we don't need a 12" screen, seat warmers, upgraded sound system, or some ludicrous smart cruise control option. A fellow member made a t-shirt design that said, "BaseManSquatch because eff the creature comforts", which really is accurate for many buyers.

To each their own, but many will pony up for other options they don't need or use very often either. Nature of the beast. For example, ECO mode comes on my Kia Optima. Never use it. I'm sure I paid for it though. BTW, great car, zero issues. LOL.

Heated mirrors standard on Base ....JUST read it in the order guide!

Along with trailer sway control...even though you can't get the hitch.

Anyone who plans to tow or pull more than 1000 lbs does not want their hitch... When I'm pulling someone out of the ditch, I attach the chain to the hitch on my truck (They have to figure out where to attach it to their vehicle, if I do it and break something they'll sue) and yank it out. The set up on the Bronco being only attached to a frame cross member is sketchy at best for that kind of use...

This interior should change your mind, but if you’re trying to stay below $40k it’s your only option.

I was looking at 2.7 auto:
Black Diamond with adv 4x4 @ 42k
I was looking at 2.7 auto:
Black Diamond with adv 4x4 @ 42k
Big Bend with rear locker @ 40k
Basesquatch @ 40k

Basesquatch gives you the front locker and bigger tires/ nicer wheels.
Go BD if you want the MGV interior.

I have the same list. I think the Base Sas is the best bet.

My wife and I want a Basesquatch, specifically a Basemansquatch. Manual is the number one most important feature for us so if MY22 doesn’t allow for a Basemansquatch, we’ll probably do a straight up cheapo Baseman with a couple of options or manual Black Diamond with Mid package (as long as it doesn’t force auto) and a few other goodies, but absolutely keeping it under $40K total also.
