So if I’m getting a two door, manual, 2.3 Badlands, I could have a pretty high chance of getting one in 2021 simply because it’s not going to be a popular option?

interesting......
If you have a later reservation, I wouldn't count on it getting bumped up significantly just because you choose the manual. This will probably be the manual transmission's most popular year because so many enthusiasts have been waiting for a Bronco for so long and the manual is at the top of their list of priorities. But, who knows? Probably best to just order what you want and cross your fingers.

Finally! I just went through 19 pages. My take away, I might want to rethink waiting for the Black Mod Hardtop on my FE. Unless I want a 2022 First Edition, ?

I think everyone was thrown off a bit when Ford announced their latest delays. I for one have a day 1 reservation, and will be ordering a BL w/2.7 and Sasquatch and will be leaving my reservation with Granger regardless of what happens, even if I don’t get it until MY23.
Ditto... even down to the Bronco built

This is my primary concern. Is Ford going to allow us to delay our orders until the ManSquatch arrives in 2022?
The way it has been explained to me was if you have a late availability item/combination, your time stamp will be carried over to when that option becomes available (i.e., early reservation time stamp equates to first ManSquatch recipient).

You still convert your order in the upcoming ordering window so they can track it. The losing scenario would be if you have a reservation and you don’t transfer that reservation into an order, regardless of item/combination, you forfeit your reservation and will get refunded your $100.

So to give some background from those who don’t go on BN,

they have threads for folks to ask questions. They collect the top questions and make a poll. The users vote on the questions and they take the top 5 and ask Ford.

At first it was free form. Then they decided to make a theme out of it. Last week’s theme was “Ordering questions” hence the video.

I would prefer if they would keep it free form popular questions. But I suspect we were asking too difficult questions for them ?
That’s probably why they put together a video how to turn seven screws on the modular bumper... this will pacify the audience (muhahaha)

There is no way for you to know if you are in the first 50-100 reservations... Maybe at a dealership level, but no way overall. The reservations numbers are a complete mystery (mostly)

Should have been more clear...top 100 (67 to be precise) on the Bronco6g forum list referenced here. Placed my reservation during the first hour of the launch and live webcast. I wish I made it a month later and just hope they don’t penalize me for being early!

Some super rough estimate inaccurate Google search math for fun:

3000 Ford & Lincoln dealerships in the US
1100 Lincoln dealerships
= 1900 Ford dealerships
7 months of build time allowing for delivery in 2021
Low estimate of 500 built a day, 6 days a week
That's 84,000 Broncos built and delivered in 2021 (assuming that many reservations are actually converted to orders)
84,000 divided by 1900 dealerships = 44 Broncos per dealership IF allocation was equal at every dealership.
Allocation won't be equal but this math kinda makes it seem like a single dealership wouldn't get more than maybe 300 to 500 allocations.

Basically, good luck and may the force be with you to those at Granger.
You're forgetting Canada and the orders down here.

Im really want to cancel my reservations. Is understandable that because of Covid they cannot fullfilled everything in time but they are really disorganized. Get everything in line for the orders first, then worry about schedule times. They dont know how many Broncos they have to build in the first place.

Reservation @ 10:29:39PM, 13 July 2020 leaves me still in power no matter which dealership I choose.

A day 1 reservation doesn't guarantee anything, and you said so yourself. Your build commodity could bump you down to #55,000 and by then, your 300 dealer allocations could be filled up with orders from #1-54,999. This is why the freakout, and unless you order a FE, there's no way of guaranteeing you get a MY21.

Why are people complaining? I'm getting annoyed at all the entitlement people have.

The Bronco Ford is bringing us is amazing. They put in a reservation system to try and make it fair. They are trying to predict what people will choose as popular options with surveys to be ready, and are just giving us a heads up that that could affect when you get it.

Also, just because the big dealers who deal in volume are making offers that smaller dealers can't match, doesn't mean Ford is going to favor them over the small local guy.

Ford as a company needs to be fair to all their dealers.

Either way, in a year from now we will all be grinning ear to ear behind the wheel of our Broncos.

..... well, 75% of us......

Is there any way that we can verify our confirmation numbers to see where are are? I’d like to know if I’m in the top 20% or middle? How do we find out?
@Bdockins @Used2jeep @Troy13 @Jroub21

Call a dealer and ask them. Every dealer has the list of reservations held at that dealer. They also have reservation times stamps for everyone on their list. I called both Stephens and Granger and had detailed conversations concerning my 2 reservations.

July 14 -early morning
July 17 - late evening

Both dealers told me:
my July 14 reservation would put me around the 25th percentile on their list
my July 17 reservation would put me around the 55th percentile

Both dealers were confident my July 14 reservation would be an early delivery MY21 (June estimate). They were both confident my July 17 res would also be MY21 (Aug-Sep delivery estimate). This was all BEFORE the recent production delay announcement. So, I am still confident my first res will be a MY21 early delivery, which may now mean July/Aug. I am no longer confident my July 17 res will be a MY21, but feel there's a decent chance with possible Nov/Dec delivery?

MY21 IMPORTANCE?
Ford had previously communicated that MY21 production would be for reservation holders only with NO dealer stock. Also, September 18 was the cutoff for a res holder to be eligible to receive a MY21. Whether your reservation made before Sep 18 actually gets you a MY21 is based on your timestamp AND dealer allocation criteria. With the new production delays, it is reasonable to assume that the number of MY 21 units that will be produced has DECREASED.

MY 22: My interpretation after the video is still that MY22 production will be SPLIT between reservations (orders) and dealer stock. This means that reservation holders that get MY22 units may see other units on lots by or before they take delivery. I assume some folks that would have gotten a MY21 before the production delays may now be getting a MY22.

Thanks Zach, always appreciate the candor. Given your comment on allocation, I had a follow-up: say Granger has 1000 reservations from the first night, the kind of reservations that would be the earliest at most dealerships in the country. Am I right in interpreting what we know about allocation so far to assume that, all other things being equal, order number 800 of those 1000 reservations might be delivered much later than a later timestamp at a different dealership because of this this algorithm?
That would be correct. I can't speak for other dealers and their reservation data, but I can say that with ours roughly half of our reservations came with our October reservation special. The thought process being that those with later reservations would benefit from a lower price but also help benefit those with earlier reservations with our store receive their vehicle sooner.

Appreciate the reply. Just hearing something is better than nothing. It was uncharacteristic to not have heard any updates from you guys.
Yes, I know Albert has been a little busier lately and has been responding to PMs. Just hasn't been as active on the open forums.
