The rear steel bumper is not an accessory. It is standard on the BD and the BL. You cannot option it on any other trim.

I've been leaning towards waiting for Warn Elite, but the capable looks pretty good.

Early on, I liked the looks of what is now the "capable" bumper better than the modular one, but I'd prefer a steel one to avoid long term plastic care. I came around to the modular's look, but like many here have disliked the lack of foglights, and while yes, you can mount some after the fact, they'd likely run through the accessory switches rather than being wired in through the lighting switch. If the "capable" one is indeed steel plus fogs plus looks, that may be a win win win.

“Seemingly”. But has anyone seen it?
Checking the modular box on B&P doesn't change the rear bumper on Wildtrak.

Stupid for a few reasons:

1) the plastic rear looks terrible
2) easy way to leave money on the table.

I was almost there with you.. then realized that they want $1,000 for that thing! So although we are talking a nice upgrade, one would hope that you could get an aftermarket that includes the same features + a winch mount for around that (maybe just a bit more)

So I think I may just stick with the included one knowing that Front and Rears will be looking for aftermarket replacements ASAP.

If you go under First Edition, Badlands and Black Diamond it does mention it comes with steel rear bumper. But I couldn't find any pics and couldn’t find as option for other models. Another description on front steel bumper mentions rear steel bumper as if it comes with front steel bumper. Dang Ford needs to fix B & P before order banks open or we're going to be ordering in the blind on alot accessories.
This was mentioned a few times in the thread, but just to reiterate, on the "Compare Models" PDF at least, it still lists the Steel Rear bumper as Standard on BD, BL, and FE:

Ford Bronco Capable Front Bumper vs Heavy-Duty Modular Bumper BroncoBumpers

Then again, the PDF also lists Rock Rails as STD on the FE, when the B&P has them as a $595 add on, sooo ... .

Could party be the volume of Capable bumpers is expected to be lower, driving up its cost a little relative to the HD Modular.

What about the bar on the capable bumper? Some pics show a short bar with a winch attached, but I don't see that bar listed on B & P. The only one I see is the taller one for the modular bumper. I like the bar, but would prefer the built in fog lights.

In a crash wouldn't these steel bumpers just cause more damage to the chassis possibly totaling out the vehicle? Isn't that why they're called damage multipliers.

The descriptions on the bnp are nonexistent.

At first I thought it was a plastic cover like original. But the more I look at the picture I am thinking it is plastic AND metal. But they aren't saying so no one knows

If I'm seeing it correctly, it's a metal bumper (shinier black) with inset plastic(duller black) around shackles and lights, and a plastic backing to it.

I don't see how the end caps come off either

Sure if you're talking about the other person's chassis, that's my hope.

The multiplier is from the brush bar bending into your own hood and engine.

I dont expect this Bronco to match the stoutness of a full size bronco, but hopefully it's better than an early Bronco should such an attack occur

I have zero use for a capable on an OBX, but man it looks sweet. It is an option on the OBX.

Check out build and price. All 3 bumpers are available on Outer Banks. This is one of the last things I'm trying to decide. I was planning on the modular bumper and brush bar and add fog lights later. Suddenly, no X plan happened and now I may want to skip the modular bumper to make up the price difference. I'll probably just stick with the bumper that comes with it.

The bumper descriptions are really lacking specific information. C'mon Ford, let's break the bumpers down and be much more descriptive.
