"Wait for Filson 3.0? It'll be 0.5 sec faster for sure and go from yaw to yaw in under 10 parsecs"

I guess Filson comes with "Hyperdrive."

I try not to stress my Forester full throttle unless it is really an emergency cause I am the one who has to pay the repair bill. 😂 But it is very slow to accelerate and it can be a great source of anxiety in those dire moments when I need to put some distance between me and danger in a hurry. I have not driven the Bronco yet. Was just looking for wisdom from experienced users.
unless you have a new turbo forester / one of the XTs, a new bronco will easily feel similar or faster than one. turbo boost is a lovely thing.

One of the things about the Forester is that if you are moving at more than 12 MPH and you mash the pedal, it will not kickdown. The tranny is so lightweight, the designers did not want a driver to punch into high revs even though it would still be in the fat part of the torque curve well below red line. This low downshift lockout speed basically neuters any acceleration power at low speeds. I am looking to avoid having that situation again.

Portal Jesus?

@SierraBronco we need you
And the consumers lifted up their voices, and cried unto the makers of chariots, saying “We delight in the V8!”

Then Stellantis answered them, and said,
“Do ye indeed? Behold, then: for we shall not just bestow upon you a V8, but receive ye the supercharged V8!”

And Ford spake also, saying “Lo, we have yet another V6; but this one is of three liters and direct injection only. And ye may also obtain the Widetrack with wheels of neon, and moreover, we have raised up again the Eddie Bauer trim from the dust. Praise be the V6”

Please excuse me-I gotta get back over to the camburg thread. @Valhalla and I are having an important discussion about suspension

Thank you.

Getting onto the highway from the entrance ramps in my community can be a challenge. The gaps in traffic are small, and the drivers around me are very aggressive. So, I am trying to choose my future purchase wisely.
Same conditions here. 2.3 with a tune, IC, downpipe and exhaust or 2.7 with Ford Performance Tune on 93 fuel in Sport mode.....the torque and quick shifts work well.

Anodizing fades fast
Not all....black, brown / dark bronze / clear / silver are all good for many years...maybe some new UV resistant colors out now.

I just yesterday bought an orange anodized cheese plate to use on the 1/4-20 nut in the center of the dash(phone holder).
I seems to have arrived faded.
Beautiful machining, horrible coloring.

But
I was refering to the fickleness/shallowness/luster-losing of fads when I mentioned the fading...

The colors will fade fast. Some get UV protection clear coats. We looked into anodized wheels for our new tank trailers as a branding differentiator and the colorfastness killed the initiative.
