Lots of off-road miles on our 2.3MT Badlands. This pic is on the Rocky Gap trail (one of the seven Jeep badge trails). We also tow a trailer.

Love my Badlands, amazing offroad vehicle. Ordered in 21, got it in 23. Best advice ive got is if you are gonna do moderate to extreme offroading, keep it in the crawler gear and select what you need locked based on terrain. Best trick I learned tho is this..in a rainstorm, put in in Slippery mode and 4H kicks in. You go from sliding the ass end to holding the pavement like a rallye car. Its amazing how well this thing handles in a tsunami.

As fun as it is to drive on road, it’s so much more fun off-road. Doesn’t matter if it’s easy forest trails, rock crawling, or squeezing between trees off camber on 3 wheels deep in the PNW mountains, I love the control the manual provides 🥰

Yes I wheel my 7mt. I noticed that all of the wheeling photos are of two doors. I suspect there is a much higher percentage of 2 door 7mt's compared to 4 door versions.

Love my 4 door! Idc if everyone gives me shit for having a manual “mini-van” 🙄 love watching you 2-door folks Tetris everything in and out of that tiny cargo space on the trail 😅

All in good fun yall, I love all broncos, especially the manuals. Unless you’re on low profile mud tires… I will never understand you.

I do. It rocks. It's a blast offroad. 4lo in crawl gear is glacial.
Some older vids from Moab.
Don't mind the squeaky control arms.

Edit: tips and tricks!

I have taken my manual 2dr black diamond out a bunch! I have gone to the Alpine loop, Grand Staircase, Big Bend, and smaller offroad trails. I love it.
As stated, I learned to understand the risks of stalling on an incline. This was learning the hard way! Losing E brake is a very scary feeling but I managed to recover. I gave it the old gundy and forced the brakes until it gradually slowed down. I thought I was going off the edge.

Super fun to drive and I would not have done it any other way. Manual for life!

I have a 26 Badlands 7MT on order and just curious on feedback from those who actually off road with it.

I learned to drive on a manual and many of my daily drivers have been manual over the years. That being said, I have basically no off roading experience with a manual. In all reality, my Bronco will mostly be a pavement princess, with the exception of navigating my treacherous driveway in NY winter storms.

But I’d love to hear some honest feedback and any tips or tricks anyone may have for when I do decide to venture out.
I love the MT for off roading! This was our sketchiest trail to date. It made everything easier than it looked! And also confirmed why I don't want a Bronco that's wider than it needs to be.

Ive only ever driven off-road in manuals. Got into offroading around 1999 or so back in high school and have had it as a casual hobby since.

I love wheeling my Heritage 7MT. It has full skids, arb dual, and a winch amongst other goodies. The MT is FUN.

Air it down, use your H/L properly and lockers as needed and these things will do anything I am comfortable doing. I usually stick with trails in the 4-5 range and occasionally a bit more if I have friends with me to help spot and recover if needed. TN/GA mud and rocks is where I typically wheel. Crawler gear, 4L with rear locker going will blow your mind how capable it is in slick conditions.

The manual is very easy to off-road in moderate conditions, thinking to "back in the day" when my 4x4 didn't have antilock brakes, no heat, ac, busted front seat that made your back hurt, etc. this thing is a Cadillac off-road.

A few shots from Prentice cooper a couple of weeks back. Mud was so thick it was pretty dicey going downhill a few times but kept lockers off, 4L crawler and it held its own.

I distinctly recall the disappointment of specing a 21 Base 4dr and transmission defaulted to Auto while the 7MT was available on Base 2dr…
