I am looking at the Outer Banks trim with sound deadening in the ceiling and the B and O stereo. I also would like a step up so that’s what I’m looking at as well. Do you all have the Outer Banks trim or what do you all have

I have an OBX with the electric seats. They're listed as 'leather trimmed vinyl' on the sticker. Most OBX come with steps.

had mine for about 1 month, so far the seats have been the worst I've ever used...looking into cushions now...6'2" and it feels like there's 2x4 across my shoulder blades...tried every conceivable seat/steering wheel position without luck.

Do you have the manual seats or the electric? You can swap out the manual seats for electric, just have to find them.

no because my head usually isnt up against it...I brought it up a week or so back on the forum and had some good comments from guys who have gone before...one chap said to try seat jacker gizmo's to angle the front part of the seat up more...while other guy indicated it works for him to have both the seat and the wheel in the highest positions but his issue now is having trouble seeing the traffic signals! My latest attempt was in thinking if I'm too close the wheel then my upper arms will be pushed back - maybe exacerbating the shoulder blade pain - so I ran the seat all the way back and wheel forward - not much difference...then down...same...so I've been looking into seat covers with foam inside the cover (not all of them have it) to help with the less than stellar comfort level........will see how that turns out.

I've had mine for 2 weeks and still trying to find the sweet spot. So far what you mentioned above seems to be the best I've tried so far: Raise the seat up a bit, but not to where you can't see stop lights. Raise the steering column as high as it can go. Then lower a little, but make sure your right leg will clear it.

I've also tilted the seat forward from the bottom lever, not the back rest. So the horizontal control, push up on the very back of it to tilt your back up a bit.

I'm 6'. It does seem like most of the people that are having trouble are right around 6'.

Some of these responses make me worry about the Bronco now. It felt comfortable on the test drives but I’m not sure. The seat portion has been my issues on other ford cars. I’m 5’8” and 300 (former body builder…now just body building a different way lol) but the seat feels fine so far and I like the firm back rest. Is there something else I should know?

The Maverick was the worst seat I’ve EVER had. Caused me so many health problems it wasn’t funny

I think if you like a firm backrest you will likely like it. I spent about 3 months looking at the 4runner...really trying to like it but I found with their new redesign the cab became a bit too cramped for my liking...finding the bronco cab to be wonderful...except for the seat
I also went round and round on what version to get...trying to be realistic on how I will or will not be using it...I tend to overthink things...paralysis by analysis kinda thing...settled on the Outer Banks with the 2.7, my 2nd new car in 50 yrs of driving, 3rd bronco...they have come a long way for sure.

I've had mine for two years / 25k miles. Daily driver with traffic. Road trips to NC.

The seat padding has worn in pretty well, I find it to be quite comfortable. Was a little stiff at first for a while (but not bad), but has softened up a good bit, I like it. Mine is OBX with Lux. If I were to make any modifications they would be:

1) Another inch of seat track or so.
2) Raise the rear seat floor brackets up about an inch and let the power seat adjustments dictate the pitch backwards for the seat bottom. I tend to prefer a very flat seat angle.
3) Did this on my former car, a 2014 Mercedes E350 sedan - pull the seat bottom cover and lay a couple of rags between the seat cushion and the seat support springs right through the middle / tailbone area. It will raise up the padding ever so slightly and help to flatten it out even more. I figured that out from desperation after realizing I couldn't drive it for more than 30 minutes without horrible pain. Turned out the seat cushion had a large wire within it along the back and down the side that the padding was unable to hide after a couple of years. Learned to take the seat bottom out and figured out what it needed, which wasn't anything more than a couple of strategically placed old bath hadn't towels here and there under the pad. Afterwards, it was the most comfortable and supportive seat I have ever experienced. Drove that car several times from DC to Naples, FL non-stop during Covid (18+ hours, 1,100 miles). I learned with that car, just how easy it truly is to modify a seat cushion in general. So if the Bronco seat padding ever starts to fail me, I'll likely do that trick first.

I'm 52, about 5'10 and 220 lbs, and hate my doctor...

I think my biggest issue is that I ended up buying the Ford Maverick and traded that in within a year. The Maverick seats are horrible. The worst I’ve ever had in any vehicle in my entire lifetime. It caused me physical injuries where I had to be in physical therapy and I had to have nerve blocks put in and steroids put in to alleviate pain Cortizone shots. You name it that car caused me so much pain. So I traded it in for the explorer because the explorer has slightly bigger seats but to be honest with you I think the Explorer seats are half inch smaller than the bronco because I’ve measured them. The middle part is a half inch smaller than the bronco. I like the explorer don’t give me wrong but the seats they designed are terrible because you sink in the middle and then the bolster push-up on the sides.
With the bronco when you guys can correct me if I’m wrong it feels like the middle is more supportive rather than sinking in if that makes sense and then the bolsters may start off a little stiff but they’re not the kind that drills into you especially with a hip and back injury due to the car (medically proven) as well. It feels like they’ll soften up all the time.

If you're concerned, I would try to get one with the power seats. More adjustability and I have read they're more comfortable.

I don't know of anyone that has done aftermarket seats in a Bronco. The seats have an airbag in them, so I doubt anyone would want to give that up.

Yeah I have the power seats right now in the ST Line. You should reviews on them. They have “aggressive” bolsters and the seat sinks in causing massive pain to injuries the Maverick gave me.
